I’ve taken my car here a few times now and I don’t plan on going anywhere else until I move out of the area. The staff is kind and welcoming, the prices aren’t a huge rip off, and the work is done quickly and it’s good quality. I really appreciate the work they do. If you live in the Clinton area and need work done on your car you should definitely consider them. Thanks Phil’s Undercar staff!

This is an updated review several weeks after I visited for service. To keep it short and sweet, my AC went out. I took it to Phil's to have it fixed. I paid about $400 for the repair on the AC initially, which didn't fix the problem. I took it back and was quoted and ADDITIONAL $1,500 to replace the compressor. (That would have made this an almost $2,000 air conditioning repair.) Industry average cost is less than half of what they quoted me. I took it to another professional and had it done for $500, where they found another issue with the AC that Phil's either never mentioned

If at all possible, I try to take my business to local businesses. I have been taking my vehicles to Phil's for many years now and have always gotten fair and quality service.
Phil's has made several improvements on their building and property in the last few years, just shows how they feel about their business. They care about their business and it reflects on how much they care about their customers.

Chris the service writer is very friendly and does his job well. The customer waiting area is well lit, has comfy seating and windows so you can check the progress of your vehicle in the service area. My Jeep was in for an oil change and tire rotation and was taken care of promptly and correctly. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend Phil's Undercar to everyone, I've been a satisfied customer for many years.

I used to recommend this shop to everyone, however, recently they have proven to be outdated in their practices and truly a waste of time. In the past when I called to get a quote on a service they were happy to get it for me. Yesterday when I called for a quote on a service that I already know what needs to be done I was told they needed to look at it to give me a quote. If a company needs to rely on this old bait and switch tactic that was used to in the past to get cars into the shop instead of being competitive like others than they are definitely not a place anyone should want to do business

My husband and I are firm believers in "shopping local". We were loyal customers of Hanes Auto Service in Clinton then Irish Hills Automotive in Brooklyn. Sadly both of them are closed so I was shopping for a new local auto repair service provider. Phil's Undercar did a wonderful job on the alignment for my 2001 Park Avenue. Brace yourselves Phils :-) I have a 1998 Le Sabre that's still on the road too! Thank you for helping keep our "antique" daily drivers on the road.

Very friendly service, quick turn-around, and reasonable prices. I went into this enormous pot-hole on a road trip from Oregon to Michigan, blew the tire, dented the rim, bent the strut, and bent/broke the shock/mount. When I do something, I go all out. They did the work on the front strut and back shock/mount. It was done well and the price was painful but not as painful as other places in the area. They even sent me a thank you card with a lottery ticket in it - never had that happen before. Didn't win anything, but it was thoughtful and kind nonetheless. Definitely suggest using them for
