Hi, my name is Scott Medlin, I'm a Certified Master Inspector who has performed thousands of residential property inspections throughout North Texas since 2007. I have extensive background in all aspects of home inspection including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, appliances, irrigation systems, swimming pools and septic systems.
Also referred to as the "pre-pour" or "pre-slab" inspection, this first phase of the new construction inspection process starts when the home's foundation construction has been completed, and the builder is ready to pour concrete. The purpose of the pre-pour inspection is to verify the overall quality of work before the concrete is poured over the excavated beams, reinforcing bars, post-tensioned cable system and plumbing.
Thermal imaging uses infrared technology to detect very small differences in temperature. Every material has a unique thermal signature and when moisture, heat, cold, or wood destroying insects are introduced into the structure the thermal signature changes.
The changes can be subtle or dramatic but with the advanced thermal imaging technology the thermal signatures are detectable which helps uncover issues that would normally go unnoticed by the naked eye.Thermal image scanning technology is now being used to evaluate residential and commercial structures.

I used Scott to inspect for a new home we purchased. He is very dependable, courteous, knowledgeable, and most of all he was always available when I called. Scott recently inspected the home we purchased. His inspection was very thorough and the results professionally presented. He went over the complete report with us and answered all questions. I was very satisfied with his explanations and observations. I have contacted him several times weeks after the inspection and he has always been very helpful and willing to offer suggestions. Scott at Confidence Home Inspection is the best inspector out there, period. I have used a number of home inspectors in the past and no one does a better job with a better report than Confidence. He is very thorough and will find things that other inspectors routinely miss. I now live in Houston and had Scott travel from Dallas versus drawing on a local inspector. It paid off with a number of items on our new house and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommended!!

I was worried about getting the inspection scheduled quickly, but Scott was able make time on a Sunday to meet my needs. I thought getting it done was just a formality, but during the walk through I realized just how thorough he had been and was grateful for the heads up on a few things I would not have known about otherwise and needed to take care of. All-in-all, I saved money by problem shooting before issues got out of hand.
