I’m not a huge hot yoga fan but this studio is one of the best around. The staff there are absolutely wonderful and attentive. I’ve only attended two classes here but have gone to other hot yoga studios in the past and this one is by far the nicest. This is a no fluff studio but absolute professionals.

So let me preface this by saying that I have a moderate-severe form of social anxiety. This was my first time coming to a yoga class on my own, as part of an excise my therapist recommended.

My review is as follows: the employees at this yoga studio made me feel really uncomfortable almost from the moment I arrived. I had called prior to reschedule my class and was moved to a later class. At no point was I told that this was an advanced level class. Obviously I don't have the yogi abilities to do well in a course like that. In any case, I checked in for the class and paid for a yoga mat.

Warm and welcoming environment, teachers & staff. The 90-min beginner friendly hot yoga class is great for both new and seasoned yogis. If you are new to the Bikram style, the teachers will explain the postures to you with strong and clear alignment cues. I’ve had several teachers take the time to come up to me during class, address me by name and gently guide me through and further explain specific postures. The heat feels intense initially but has become one of my favorite elements to practice in. Take advantage of their new student monthly unlimited special!

Lie about being located in Chicago , when they far far far away
Lie about teaching Bikram Yoga. You need actual Bikram Yoga Certified Teachers to teach, which they DO NOT have
Teach students the incorrect way to come into and out of the posture.
They have NO USA Yoga Champions only *participants* but they claim they do.
Show your receipts.... teaching certificates and yoga champions.
If you like untruthful ppl who are complete frauds and possess no qualifications then go here.

I loved my 90 minute intro hot yoga class! Sam is such a lovely instructor. I always need reminders during classes that I don’t need to push myself to the maxx just bc someone else can get deeper in the pose than I am able. Enjoyed the space and the energy ✨

This is a good place and these are good people. Considerate, not judgmental (people at all levels ~ mine is very beginning) are comfortable in the same class - the staff and instructors are considerate, thoughtful, committed and supportive.
I am a 67 year old man - working on getting in and staying 'in shape' and I am glad to have found this place. I look forward to using it as a place to work on my physical and spiritual development / I find the classes very satisfying. Though I frequently do not 'want to go' I always feel glad I did afterwords.
I've studied at other yoga studios in the past

I love the vinyasa Saturday class with Aura. She is amazing and encouraging and makes trying different poses more fun, like a game not a burden. The studio has nice light and it is a wonderful place to slow down and reconnect your body and mind in the city.

Truly a great yoga studio for all levels. Cat is my favorite instructor but every instructor I had was awesome. What I love:
1) clear instructions from the instructors
2) they care about every student - they always find opportunities for you to improve the posture throughout the class and do their best to remember your name starting from your first session
3) everyone is very respectful and focused
4) always start in time - I’ve been within 3min late to classes and I couldn’t get into the practice room because the door is locked at start time, and I don’t mind it because it means there

Be Yoga embodies everything I love about the hot yoga community and all the reasons I practice. I cannot recommend this studio enough. If you've tried hot yoga at other studios but were turned off or just didn't feel welcome, know that not all studios are like that. Come to Be Yoga and have a completely different experience in a supportive, safe, caring, nurturing environment. You can't beat Cat and her team of wonderful teachers.

Be Yoga is amazeballs! Everyone there is so incredibly friendly and supportive, even for newbies who know nothing about hot yoga and have zero experience. All the instructors are amazing and so helpful.

I never thought of myself as a "yoga" person, got talked into trying it by my best friend, and now it's hard to imagine my life without it. :)

I really enjoy the great workout and stretch I get from hot yoga at Be Yoga Andersonville, and the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I feel like a lose a whole size after doing these workouts right before I need to get into something fitting. I have to roll my pants waist line over to keep them up. You have to try this fantastic place!!

I have been going to this studio for eight years.
What I like about Be Yoga Andersonville is that the teachers really take the time to get to know you. There is a strong commitment by all of the teachers to get to know every student by name. This helps the class feel much more personal.
Most classes are a mix of students at all different levels in their practice. The studio is very focused on making sure that each student gets exactly what they need out of each class. It is not about competition or being able to do what the person next to you does. This studio offers a variety of class types

Love the classes here, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The classic Bikram is as hot as it should be, and the Core class is uniquely sequenced with expressions of yoga I've never seen or done before.

I've been attending Be Yoga for exactly two years now. The instructors have helped me learn to be patient with changes that come with a regular yoga practice. They are attentive and kind and good at reminding you to focus on your breath and listening to your body. I am a different person than I was when I started. My body and mind are both much stronger now, and as a marathoner with a regular Pilates practice, I thought I was strong already. The practice of Bikram at Be Yoga has evolved for me in these two years and I look forward to the continuing benefits from a regular practice here.

Recently I celebrated my one year anniversary as a member of Be Yoga. It is because of my practice at Be Yoga that I am happier, healthier and more flexible than I have ever been at any point in my life. It all starts with the instructors. These professionals are incredibly motivating and inspirational--everyone from Cat, who is the heart and soul of the studio and carries forth with the inspirational teachings of Aura, Charles, Morita, Sergio, Michael, and on and on. They are the biggest reason I come back time and time again.

This quaint, clean, intimate studio is truly a must for every

I love Be Yoga Andersonville! I've been doing hot yoga off and on at different studios for about 5 years now. Be Yoga is clean, has a lot of classes throughout the day to fit your schedule and gives you a great workout.

I'm giving it 5 but I do wish there was a greater variety in the types of classes offered. At my previous studio they offered a Fusion got yoga that did most of the same postures as Be Yoga but started class with a series of sun salutations.

Keep it up, Be Yoga!!

This place is awesome! Cat, the owner, is one of the best yoga instructors I've ever had. She's definitely someone who practices her craft and is constantly improving as a yogi AND an instructor. Her verbal instructions are so easy to follow. She's encouraging and super-positive. Go here!

I didn't love it.

As a beginner, I definitely needed to be able to hear the instructor's instructions, which wasn't possible here. It was even worse during the evening class, where the instructor had a very thick accent and spoke quickly. I spent most of my time being confused and trying to copy other people who looked like they knew what they were doing because I understood only about 5% of what she was saying. They definitely need to invest in some sort of mic.

By far the best bikram in all of Chicago.
I've tried quite a few places, and this studio has free parking in the back and complimentary shampoo and conditioner in their showers.
Most importantly, their instructors provide a positive environment and individual feedback that other students can utilize.

I've been practicing Yoga here since I came to Chicago in 2008. The experience here has been outstanding. The instructors are patient and very pleasant. There's meticulous instruction given. Even though I have been practicing for almost 10 years, I still find the instruction very helpful. I learn a little more every time I come. The shower and locker rooms are kept very neat and clean. I simply enjoy coming to this studio. It's a little bit of "peace time" for me.
