Went to tour these lofts a couple days ago and the office manager was very rude. She led me to a model loft where she proceeded to tell me that it was a self guided tour and I could leave right after I'm done looking. Very standoffish and unapproachable which makes me wonder how they interact and work with tenants.

The worst experience ever. I have been very patient with everything currently going on. I reached out 3 weeks ago to get more information and either do a tour or a virtual tour. Neither of which the company offered. Still being patient I would call and leave voicemails or email and hear nothing back for days until I called again. I was really looking forward to getting an apartment only for them to tell me after three weeks the one I was looking at was already rented and the next one available is double the price. Complete joke.

I have been emailing and calling leaving multiple messages and once i spoke with Johnny King leasing specialist he stated they had 2 bedroom openings however two weeks have passed and once i called the office again, the man who answered stated they don't have any 2 bedroom s nor does he know when they have them available again. completely unprofessional and inconsiderate of others.

Abusive property management will tell you to leave if you ask them to fix a problem. Service requests go ignored for months on end. Packages get stolen and management doesn't do anything to stop it despite having footage of the theft. They lie about treating the apartments for bugs. My unit was infested when I moved in. Electrical problems and issues with the plumbing with no one to fix them. If someone does fix them, they're back a week later. One star is generous.

Vanessa had me fill out an application and told me I'd get a response in 24 to 48 hours. She knew I had little time but strung me along for four days before finally telling me the unit wasn't even available to rent after all. Total lack of response, respect and decency.
In the end I ended up contacting the former tenant which was through the original listing and this is what she had to say:
"I really don’t blame you, Gorman has been terrible to work with so you are probably better off with where you are going. It’s a shame because it really is an awesome apartment."

My fiancee was offered a job at the VA for a couple thousand $ under the income cap for 60% reduced rent, and I am currently unemployed. I would highly recommend to NOT rent from Blue ribbon lofts nor any of Gorman and Company's affordable housing properties! Cosmetically they all look great, very attractive apartments and amenities but watch out! None of their apartments have any sort of sound proofing, unless it already was present from previous construction. You have absolutely no privacy for your neighbors can hear everything from your apartment and vice versa! I have had so many nightmare experiences at Gorman properties you wouldn't even believe me if I told you.If you want to live where you can hear ever foot fall

When I first toured Blue Ribbon Lofts, I was hooked on the fact that they offered more than just a place to hang your head. Having access to a recording studio, movie theater, fitness center and community room all without taking a step outside of the building was more than a person could hope for.
They offer market value and subsidized units. Underground heated parking and numerous security cameras bring a level of safety I don't feel anywhere else in the city. Maintenance and management is also top notch! The cleaning crew is always on top of everything and has the place spotless 24/7.
