Welcome to Beachwood at the Dunes, our restaurant, bar, and lounge/event space - two blocks from the ocean, one from the bay - in Sea Isle City. Whether you're looking for a post-beach no-shower happy hour (no judgment!), a casual get-together with the family, or a date-night-worthy drinking and dining experience, we have a spot for you.
For nibbling on share plates or enjoying an inventive cocktail, there's the casual-but-sophisticated bar area complete with globe lighting and a glass wall that opens accordion style whenever weather permits. An additional, a-la-carte dining room accommodates those who'd prefer a cozy booth or, perhaps, an inviting counter seat overlooking real-time oyster shucking and a wood-burning grill that smells of crackling cedar logs.

Local real estate developer Chris Glancey fell in love with Sea Isle City as a 14-year-old kid washing dishes on the island. Since then, he's climbed Kilimanjaro, broken down in the middle of the Serengeti and narrowly avoided a mudslide in Costa Rica. Despite all these travels, this place still has his heart -- he's been creating memories here for 32 years.

I had read Craig Laban's disappointing review when it first opened 2 years ago but we love Quahogs and Red Store so we were curious about Beachwood. The photos on the website make it look like an upscale place, but it definitely had a sports bar vibe, with TVs everywhere. The menu has definitely changed to a more casual one, which is not a bad thing, but the execution was disappointing. We started with scallops wrapped in bacon. Tasty, but lukewarm, as if they had been prepped earlier in the day and were just sitting around. The special calamari was cornmeal crusted, but all of the cornmeal

Food was delicious and service was friendly. We sat in the lounge which had a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The Burgers were delicious and the garden salad with roasted salmon was great. Fish and chips entree was tasty but a little overpriced for the portion. Overall, great dinner and we will be back.

I guess we’re getting old . . . The opportunity for a vacation Sea Isle Sunday Funday unexpectedly fell into our lap for the first time in years and traditionally that was a long, sweaty crazy day that spanned into the night.
We weren’t looking for that.
What were were looking for is what we found at Beachwood. Two seats at the bar, a tasty happy hour menu, fun environment, and great service.
The bartenders and staff we both entertaining to watch and high end on the hustle which made for a special afternoon. Thanks so much to Lexi & Steve as they handled adversity over the course of the

Good service, beautiful atmosphere. Thursday was "Mexican night" so we had several choices to choose from on the menu. Started with guac, small portion but yummy. I had the shrimp with grits. I was disappointed that there was loads and loads of cheese, which drowned out the flavor of the grits. Others liked their meals though.

What a fun spot for a group dinner!
I called for a last minute reservation and they were able to sneak our party of 8 in with only a few hours notice on a Saturday night. There was also a live band which made this snag even more lucky.
The outdoor section is called 'On The Rocks' and it's on the next block over from the main restaurant. It is a large gravel area with several long picnic tables and a small stage for music. With a chair on either end, one picnic table perfectly fit our party of 8. There is a different menu for the rocks section that's a bit more casual than

We dined here with another couple during the Wuhan lockdown. The menu says the place is "Beachwood on the Rocks", perhaps because we were eating right next door to the main restaurant, outside at picnic tables. We have dined at the regular restaurant when it was operating as Doc McGrogan's. We are all long time friends of the present owner.
It is a nice set up. There is a huge tent and 10 or so tables are underneath it with other tables arranged in the open area well distanced. There was a two piece live music act playing nice tunes. We were masked upon check in as were all the

Our first time was great. Greeted by the manager. Super nice person. Sat at bar. Service was excellent. Great selection of beer and wine. Started with the guacamole topped with crab. So fresh and delicious. Chips were great too. We had pickles and a pasta dish too. Highly recommend this place. We plan on coming back often.

Had a delicious dinner here with my family! The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is friendly. I had the lobster bake and all of the seafood was so fresh! The guacamole was amazing topped with crab meat. All of the servers/bussers were very professional and personable. I would definitely recommend coming in and trying this place out for yourselves! I will definitely be coming back.

The kitchen at Beachwood is impressive! We just finished an amazing brunch. The deviled eggs were creative and delicious! The scallops with crispy quinoa, figs, and balsamic was even better. Although we were stuffed, we had to make room for the beignets with a dulce de leche sauce. Patrick, the manager at Beachwood, was an incredible host, wanting everyone to leave happy and full! He succeeded!!

We read some very mixed reviews on both Yelp and Google regarding issues with service so our group was apprehensive to dine here. However we were blown out of the water by everything. Our server was amazing and had great suggestions. The drinks were all delicious. Our food was the best meal we had in Sea Isle that week. Highly recommend the seafod mac, it fed five of us! It's definitely a bit pricey, but not higher than others. Worth your time over Mike's Seafood any day!!

What a great venue and dining experience! The vibe was perfect as was our total evening! We were greeted by a friendly hostess and our server was knowledgeable and kept the meal perfectly paced! We had a “complete” dining experience including desserts with a menu that had selections to please each of us! I’m happy we brought our appetites...we will definitely be returning😊

I would give this 3.5 if I could. My husband and I tried this for dinner last night for the first time since switching over from Doc's. We weren't able to get a reservation in the bar area so we had a table in Th dining room area - next time we'd rather be in the bar as it seemed a little more casual
Aesthetic is very much my speed - I love the beachy chic look and the openness.
Overall, the meal wasn't bad but we were a little disappointed with the lack of flavor after lovinggggg Quahogs. To start, we ordered the tuna ceviche. We could tell the fish was really fresh
