I have been doing yoga with Janice for over 6 years now and have loved every session with her. Whether you are a beginner looking for an easy introduction to yoga or an intermediate looking to improve your practice, Janice will cater to your personal needs. She brings a particular mindfulness to her practice that is often missed by other yoga instructors. I leave feeling refreshed, strengthened, and more alive after every session! I highly recommend attending any of her classes :)

I will never breathe in the smell of grapefruit the same again! It's my favorite part of class... Yoga Gal Janice is pretty much the instructor for anyone who has tried Yoga before and didn't like it. She makes it fun and works on her students' inside as much as their outsides. The classes I attend, held in both a rec center and the park, feel like going to work out with a private trainer -- she gets to know her students and remembers their injuries, helps with good alignment and knows everyone's favorite moves. Suffering with a lower back disk injury myself, the class is incredible

Janice is an awesome instructor. We all work at our own skill level. Whether you are a beginner or not, you work at your own pace. If you can do a pose, great, if not, she finds another pose that is better for your body with the same result. Janice makes the class fun, so come with a sense a humor. Her I.S.P.E. program is great too.

I am so lucky to have Janice, the Yoga Gal, so close by. She is a very accommodating teacher, who can adapt the class to whatever level you are at, without feeling intimidated or embarassed. Her humor and happy attitude emanate from her during the class. She makes it fun and she does a great routine in an hour. If you are a busy person, like I am, this is a perfect amount of time to get in a yoga class. I highly recommend her skills as a yoga instructor. She is also very flexible if you miss one- she let's you make it up :) I also love that props are available and all ages are present, from

After suffering with some serious problems with my neck, I turned to Janice for help in my recovery. I was new to yoga, and Janice was so patient in teaching me the basics while adapting yoga to my limitations. Over the past year and half, I have improved my strength and flexibility in no small part due to Janice. She has a unique ability to keep me improving and learning while integrating new members into the class.

Janice is always looking for new approaches to teaching and modifying yoga. Many times in class, she has a new technique or pose that she has chosen especially to help me or another

What a great way to start my day! I work out almost every day, but yoga isn't part of my typical fitness routine. That may change after taking this class! I love the welcoming, fun and professional environment with Yoga Gal. Janice monitored me throughout the class. Towards the end, she encouraged me to try something different, a headstand, and she was right there to guide me. With her help, I did it! Yay, proud moment!!!
I recommend Janice at Yoga Gal for group and private classes. It will make you smile!

I first went to Yoga Gal because of a deal that I got on Living Social and it's proximity to my home. I continue to go there because of the loving calm atmosphere that Janice creates. The room is a good size and has a warm wood floor. The large 2nd floor windows highlight the tree tops and if you want to check your posture, there is a full wall of mirrors. There are extra mats, blankets, straps and blocks in abundance. Janice's classes are always just the right pace and challenge because she offers/instructs variations with most poses so you can get just the right "work-out"

If you're considering starting yoga and have never done it before, or you're convinced you're stiff as a board, then Yoga Gal is right for you!

Janice is a wonderful beginner yoga instructor--her classes are paced based on whomever shows up for class, and class is never larger than 12 people. Usually she asks everyone what they would like to work on for the day, and you can offer up whatever body part is bothering you to incorporate into the day's practice.

I always went to her Level II (Vinyasa/Flow) class, as her Level I was a little too easy for me. Even at Level II, you
