Been looking for a new place since our favorite burned down. We may have found it. So far so good.
El Jefe is incredible. Tortillas grilled with cheese and then topped with all the fixins. Amazing!!!!
Been a few times now and everything we have tried is exceptional. Service and staff are excellent.
We are working through the menu and can't wait to try the next amazing dish.
It is a small place and busy but worth the wait. INCREDIBLE.

This is a hole in the wall taqueria that serves up excellent tacos. What makes these tacos stand out from other places are the homemade tortillas. Like a great sandwich starts with good bread, the freshly made fluffy tortillas really made these carne asada tacos delicious.
The wet burrito was flavorful also but had a very fatty section of the carnitas. About a third of the meat was all fat unfortunately. Hopefully it was an anomaly.
The homemade horchata was very nice and soothing with the meal.

Tacos El Compa has probably the best Mexican food in town. I've been here several times, and have always been satisfied. Their meat is very tender, juicy, and flavorful, and the portions are very generous. They also use fresh hand-made tortillas, and they are delicious! The staff is also warm and friendly, and the dining area is clean. They also have outdoor seating. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!

Very clean nice looking on inside. Cashier was very friendly. 9$ for a tiny burrito with no flavor at all. Very Americanized food. The rice was very bland no flavor at all the beans where cooked very good light salt. The pastor was horrible no flavor no spice chewy and dry. Didn't taste like pastor at all . I was disappointed with my food. If the menu has "bowl" on it turn around and leave .bowl is a Chipotle thing not mexican at all. I dont recommend coming here at all. But if u dont like traditional food then this is the place for you

Gave this place a try since it had very good reviews and we were not disappointed! The pictures do no favor to how good and flavorful the food was!! The side of rice and beans were delicious and to me it was a good portion. The tacos were amazing and my husband enjoyed his as well. The only thing that didn't quite make it was the salsa. Not spicy as others but it was fine for my husband since he doesn't do too much spicy. Lastly the quesadilla, it might look small on here but it was actually pretty good size and very flavorful! Would definitely come back to this place if I'm ever back visiting

Tacos El Compa was my go-to spot for Mex food in my neighborhood but recently I have seen a change and not for the better.
Twice no I have ordered a Chile Verde super burrito, typically my favorite meal, and powered thru the burrito only to find I had six or fewer pieces of pork in the whole burrito.
At first I thought I caught them on a bad day. So I begrudgingly ordered the same yesterday and this time five pieces of pork.
Maybe they are telling me I am getting a bit too porky in the middle but loading me up with carbs, beans & rice will not fix that.
Ohh well, I guess the honeymoon is

Everything on the menu is delicious, great burritos, one of the best in south SJ. Their Al Pastor is awesome and Chicken is pretty good too! They even put lettuce instead of meat in the burrito for vegetarians upon request. If you call ahead with your order it will be ready before you can even get there, I've been eating here for about 2 years and I still haven't found a negative thing to say.

Mexican taqueria in strip mall. Zero ambiance inside, absolutely no decoration of any kind. Two large TVs on random channels. If you want to try suggest you take it to go. Nachos good. They use flour tortillas which I am not a fan of. Pinto beans had no real flavour, not sure why this place gets high ratings.

A friend recommended Tacos El Compa when I was looking for affordable catering options for my wedding. He told me they did a great job catering his wedding and so I did not delay in contacting them. Hugo was quick to respond and was very helpful in answering all my questions. He was able to accommodate vegans, vegetarians, gluten free and omnivore guests alike! We got soyrizo, fajita veggies, and chicken tacos, quesadillas, chips and guacamole and agua frescas, and everything was delicious! Hugo and his crew got through the line quickly and our guests really enjoyed their tacos! I highly recommend
