We're glad you found us! Om on the Range has been a community for yoga & mindfulness practice since 2002. We are supportive, fun, informed, practical, experimental, and always a work in progress. Today, we continue this mission into our 20th year with a new focus - offering experiences through our pop-up outdoor classes, livestream classes on zoom, anytime audioclasses and special programs (like yoga summer camp, private sessions, an annual winter retreat, yoga fundraisers and more).
Services
It all began in 2002 on Valentine's Day when Om on the Range Yoga Studio opened in the Lakeview neighborhood. Beth Range Kiely and Terry Kiely left their professional lives in the non-profit and corporate sectors and opened up a yoga studio near their Roscoe Village home. Their dream of retiring and becoming yoga teachers became a reality a few decades early!
My college friends brought me to my first class 24 years ago while on vacation in South Beach. I left with a tingling sense of being centered & connected. Returning to Chicago, that yoga magic always kicked in while taking classes around town. And it had impact on my job as a professional fundraiser by enhancing my clarity, productivity and sanity.
Bootcamp includes the Restore and Renew program and adds a variety of fitness class options taught by Amansala's high-energy, onsite trainers. While 6 nights is fantastic, sometimes a shorter amount of time (3, 4 or 5 nights), might be best for you. You can certainly do so and your rates will be pro-rated.
There's no doubt the past year+ has been an extraordinary time. These days, a consistent practice with a group of yogis that you get to know is a rare treat. Let's change that. Let's make a plan this summer to practice together, meet regularly and share the joy and laughter of creating yoga together in real life.
Studio Founders Beth & Terry Kiely bring wisdom and presence to all they do. Their work experiences are robust: two decades of working together to create Om on the Range plus a combined 30 years in consulting/corporate & non-profit management. Theirs is a shared vision & mission. They are devoted to helping others awaken their inner wellness, mindfulness skills and greatest potential.

I cannot say enough good things about Om on the Range! I found this studio 7 years ago when I moved to the neighborhood and cannot imagine my life without it! Beth, Terry, and Annie, and their whole team of teachers, are so welcoming and have truly created a family feeling at this studio. They know their yogis by name, and are intentionally about creating a sense of community in their practice.
I was new to yoga when I started and appreciate so much that the classes are open to all levels and I never felt out of place, no matter what! All the teachers are helpful and personalize instruction as

Om on the range yoga is, by far, the best yoga studio in the city of Chicago. There are many others that offer loads of classes, teachers come and go and trends drive the studio. Terry and Beth walk the walk an have stayed the course with their teaching, teachers, and message. It is very much a community that you will feel a part of from day one. Consistency is key here, and om on the range has a consistent formula they have been adhering to for many years. You won't regret going to a class at Om.

I've been going to Om on and off for many years. There's just something about the wonderful people and the energy of the studio. In COVID times they've found new ways to support and connect their strong community of yogis. I've attended a few of the socially distanced outdoor classes on the town square this fall and they are wonderful. Fresh air, yoga and sunshine - all of the things we need during these strange times. Beth, Terry, Annie and crew are truly wonderful humans. They'll make sure you feel safe (with every precaution) and welcome.

Om has been such a blessing in my life. I used to think I didn't fit in with any yoga community at all until I found Om. The flow of the classes is unmatched and the gentleness of the teachers is what allows you to fully relax and drop into your body. Since being stuck at home their audio classes, zoom classes, and community classes on the square have saved me! The owners Beth and Terry make you feel a part of the family right away whether it's in person or in the digital world. Do yourself a service and sign up for an Om class, I guarantee you won't regret it!

I love Om On the Range so much! I practiced with them for YEARS pre-Covid. Then I moved to a neighborhood further north and it got tough to visit as often. Now I have reconnected with this wonderful community via all of the virtual online offerings. I like that there's a mix of outdoor in-person classes, zoom classes, and recorded audio classes. Right now the audio classes are an especially great fit for my crazy schedule, because I can start one whenever I want! When the pandemic first started I tried doing some yoga on my own and it is just not the same ... I always feel so much better in

Beyond great yoga instructors (all of them!), Om on the Range has truly built a gem of a community! Om has also done a tremendous job pivoting during Covid. They have found multiple ways to deliver the same great yoga experience during social distancing - outdoor yoga @ North Center Town Square, audio, livestream, semi-privates, etc.

Om has kept it going with live classes at the North Center Town Square, via zoom, and even free on demand classes on their website. I miss going to the studio, but love seeing the welcoming team of Annie, Beth, and Terry where they truly embrace our safety and provide a free/pay what you can model during this time, as well as support and uplift the community we live, work and play in.

Om's Zoom and socially-distant outdoor in-person classes have been a godsend! I was a regular at the studio in the pre-Covid days and am so happy to be able to continue to practice with these excellent teachers! Now my out-of-town friends and family are joining me for online yoga classes and they love them as much as I do. Whether it's your first class or thousandth, you'll be greeted like an old friend at the beginning of class and feel great after. Oh, and they're free! Though, you can make a donation if you're able.

Beautiful studio with a very welcoming staff. Not the largest variety of different types of classes (the vinyasa 60 class is a consistent intermediate level), but there are many class times each day making it very convenient to fit into any schedule. Price wise, it is definitely very reasonable compared to comparable studios. Family owned, clean, and full of positive energy. Can't ask for more.

I love walking into this studio. It's energy and climate is good for the soul. Beth, Terry, Annie... Truly master's of their craft. I highly recommend Om for beginner or experienced Yogi's. I have been taking classes for over 5 years and have never been disappointed. Every class is different and modifications are made with ease. They have everything you need!

Popped in for an 8:30 class with Annie this morning while visiting Chicago. The studio was in a cool old mill type building. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Annie was so welcoming and accommodating. The class was wonderful and just what I needed after the long drive from Maine. Bathrooms were a bit of a walk from the studio, but the building was fun to walk around in. Parking was easy. The price was $19 - quite a bit more than than I expected, but towels, water, and mats were included if I had needed them (I didn't). I would definitely recommend Om on the Range!

I love this yoga studio! I went for years avoiding yoga, despite that it was recommended to me by multiple fitness specialists, because I never could seem to find a studio that fit my personality. And then I randomly tried out Om on the Range because it happens to be very close to my home. I love the environment and all the instructors. It is such a personable place, and within a few weeks instructors were calling me by my first name and making me feel so welcome. I never feel ridiculous or "less than" despite practicing with a diverse group of individuals- some new like me- and others

I want to say this place truly is a gem for all the yoga studios out there in Chicago. If you are looking for a true Vinyasa yoga class, come to "Om On the Range." It is definitely challenging but that is what makes this studio and the instructors so unique. I come out of each class feeling even more revitalized than I did before. Be aware that the classes are slightly heated but just enough to get your blood flowing! I would suggest bringing a towel and a water bottle, just in case :) Do yourself a favor and take a class here, you won't regret it!

Om On the Range Yoga Studio provides the best of the best in all they do. The owners, Terry and Beth are always welcoming, engaging and create an atmosphere that feels as close to home as you can imagine without being in your living room. The studio is clean, roomy and creates a space that allows yogis of all experience levels to feel comfortable and accepted. This coming from a relative newbie to the yoga world.
I have taken 10+ classes at Om and always leave class feeling refreshed, invigorated and yet relaxed. Each instructor seems to be better than the one before, directing class in a way

I really liked Om on the Range. Everyone I interacted with was really friendly, and I could tell it was a space where folks were dedicated to their practice. The style is Baptiste Power Vinyasa, which is slightly different than what I had been used to practicing in Michigan but I enjoyed it. The space is great, very open and loft style, exposed brick, large yoga room.
The yoga is taught usually without music although some instructors played it towards the end of class. The room was warm, not Bikram-hot, but warm enough to sweat. The flows taught are quick paced, which I liked because I felt like

I left my apartment today half an hour early to get to a yoga class at Om On the Range, which is only an 8 minute drive from where I live. The weather was terrible and I ended up reaching the studio at 12:01 pm for a class that started at 12:00 pm. I had called ahead to tell the instructor I would be late because of the traffic delay due to the weather. Instead of being accommodating in any possible way, the instructor dismissed my request and locked the door of the studio leaving me to be pelted by hail for the ten minutes I had to wait to find a ride back to my apartment. This is the most disrespect

In town visiting for the long July 4th holiday weekend. Was impressed by the location, the cleanliness and efficiency of the studio, the open space and infused natural lighting. Annie's gentle approach to a beautiful flow left me feeling blissfully enlightened and refreshed. Will definitely come back my next visit.

Attended a Tuesday evening class (8pm) with my sister who frequents this studio regularly. We got their early so I could register and sign the appropriate waivers and also met Annie, who was super friendly and helped us get set up. I have done some hot yoga in Charlotte so I had a yogitoes (yoga towel) that I had brought and just borrowed a mat from the studio so that I didn't have to lug my mat on the airplane.
The room was not heated, but it was definitely a humid day/evening so there was plenty of sweat to go around, especially with the vinyasas and poses. I am more used to a modified

I've been going here on and off for a few years, and I just love it. All of the teachers have their own personalities and style of teaching that is refreshing and keeps things interesting. All of the classes are heated, which is great during the colder months and really helps you get a good stretch. I've taken Bikram at other places and found the classrooms too bright, hot and crowded and the teachers to be rigid, snotty and rather unpleasant. Not here. Everyone is warm, welcoming and just want you to do your best, no matter what your level of practice. There is no judgment or negativity - just

I just started yoga about a month ago and am really enjoying the challenging classes at Om on the Range. I enjoy all of the teachers that I've had here, but I really enjoy the classes where they play music and only a few of the teachers play the music. The only reason I gave it 4.5 instead of 5 is because i wish all the teachers had music to go along with their classes.
All of the instructors are very helpful and if you are doing something incorrectly, they politely come and help you correct your pose.
To the person that said the you have to know yoga before because

I've been looking for a Bikram studio that is easy for me to get to right after work, not too touchy feely and an easy commute. Om On the Range works for me! I've studio hopped a bit in my search...Andersonville Bikram (AWESOME, too far for me), Core Power Yoga (too cooperate) 105degrees -(nice but found the studios awkward (?)) and The School of Hot Yoga (too cheesy). Om On the Range is finally a studio I can handle!!! Nice, friendly, down to earth and a little cheaper!
I can make it once a week after work...works great as they only offer Bikram later in the eve once a week... makes

I love this studio. I love the both the Bikram classes taught here and the Baptiste classes. I actually favor Baptiste slightly more after experiencing them bother for the first time at Om on the Range. But I had to knock down a couple of stars because of the schedule. There is only one room where the classes are held and thus fewer classes are offered. I work downtown and it is often difficult to get to the studio in time for some Baptiste during the week, thus only leaving me with the weekends to visit Om.
