Serendipity Preschool was established in 1981 by a family whose history in Monterey goes back to 1801. It was founded by a mother and daughter team who had a dream to educate and prepare young children in an environment rich in art, music, science and history.

Services
Accompanied by the monthly music playlist, children sing seasonal and theme oriented songs. The teachers review the days of the week, month, weather, reinforce the letters of the month and preview the major activities of the day. All the students are gathered in a teacher directed activity.
This activity may consist of theme oriented children's literature, science experiments, alphabet puppet shows, math or reading readiness activities or guest speakers.During Learning Center time and outside playtime, the children are divided into two groups - "The Rabbit Group" and "The Butterfly Group".

We have been overjoyed with our children's experience and progress at Serendipity Pre-School. We have four young boys and we wanted a pre-school that focused on "early education" and we did not want a "day-care" environment. My husband and I knew immediately that Serendipity was the right place for our boys as soon as we met with Francesca on our initial visit.
Serendipity schedules private tours at 8:00am, Monday through Friday. Our tours give us the opportunity to show parents our facility, explain our program in detail, and answer questions.
