Hanna and the RTD team quit on me during the middle of my tenant's lease in March 2021. They had badly handled a maintenance issue a few months earlier. My tenant had to contact me directly multiple times because the RTD team was not responsive enough. I would have accepted an apology because it was during the holidays, but instead Hanna made numerous excuses and blamed some 3rd party company they outsource to for not handling it.Â
RTD can take care of the easy stuff, but they failed when things got more difficult and wouldn't even own their mistakes. Their customer service is lacking

As a homeowner I have really appreciated Rent the District. We're new to renting out a house, and our contact Hannah was the property manager out of those we spoke with who was helpful to the point of walking us through each step of renting out a house. Once the house was ready, she was excellent at communicating to us exactly what was going on in terms of prospective renters, etc., and she fairly quickly secured a lease.

I am very excited to lease with Rent the District. My roommates and I found a beautiful home on their site, and from my very first correspondence with Hanna via phone, the communication has been flawless.
Prompt responses to emails, quick answers to phone calls, transparent updates throughout the process, and even reassurances to call you back if they are tied up at the moment (and they actually call back as soon as they can!)

Johnny was a great help in assisting me in finding the perfect space to live in Brookland. He was prompt and easy to talk to and knew answers to information I asked. Two years ago I made a quick decision to move out of DC and place my family's first home on the rental market. After chatting with a few property managers, we decided on Hanna and the Rent the District team mostly because Hanna had been super responsive and seemed to know the neighborhood. My roommates and I rented from a Rent the District property for two years. In that time we had a hot water heater go out, the A/C malfunctioned, and several other little things go wrong (not our fault, I swear).
Hanna and her team always helped resolve our issues, large or small, quickly and without issue. They communicate well and I felt they were always a quick email away.
Also, payment was super easy and can be automated.

Rent the District has been so amazing to work with from start to finish! I fell in love with a property and knew it was perfect for myself and my 2 roommates. Johnny was super responsive and helpful from the minute I contacted him via Zillow. Today I signed my lease for one of Rent the District's properties they manage. From the very start the process was amazing. I'm writing a finalized review prematurely because of how outstanding Ron has been as well as the rest of staff, including the owner.

Ronald has been really helpful for us throughout the process of viewing our new apartment and renting it. He is really patient and attentive to details. We have been pretty high maintenance with our requests because we just did a cross-country move with little kids and he always welcomed our questions and requests with grace. We feel taken care of working with him.

I've tried multiple times to email and call this company to see one of their listed rental properties, but still haven't been able to see the place. The phone system is all automated, and when I requested information about a specific property, it never sent it. I tried to schedule viewings online, but they never confirmed them. They finally sent an email with one time that I could see the property, which is in the middle of a work day. Additionally, they still haven't answered my email with two simple questions. If you're renting your place out with them and haven't been able to get it rented yet
