The reality is that although originally an owners intention may have been to be an honest shop and be a good business, the problem comes in with hired help.

This is because they do not demand a high pay scale and are usually younger inexperienced mechanics. That is not to put them down, it is just the truth. We are a licensed WV State Inspection Station. Please do not expect or ask us to break the law and pass your vehicle if it should not. What you have on your side with our business is, the truth. We do not make up things that are not wrong with your vehicle. We do however, take the safety of your family and ours seriously.

I would not recommend James Fox, he come on another page on Facebook threatening me and others. The goals he has on his page he sure does not follow them, treat everyone the same as you want to be treated. I don’t and will not do business with someone who is not a professional business person or a productive member of society, I really think James… has a medical issue that needs to be dealt with, or he has a addiction problem or something because the was he came at us for no reason but putting a emoji on his comment, was very uncalled for and very unhealthy. Please seek help it&rsquo

Great service! It was very easy to make an appointment and they had my car done before the estimated time. The quality of their work is excellent and their prices very competitive in the area. Went to the shop to get tires mounted and balanced and to get my truck aligned after recently doing a lift kit. And lets just say Jim the owner and the fellas working there are very experienced. Jim is… definitely a very knowledgeable person, and told me things about my truck that other shops neglected to tell me. Will definitely be going back for any service I need in the future.

If I can't do the work myself, I have found Jim is the most reliable and price worthy person in the area. On more than one occasion I have had short notice issues that needed maintenance attention and he's been more than accommodating to work me on the schedule. And even better, he's perfectly honest up front if he is backed up or has big jobs ahead of you. I recommend Jim to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic with the small town feel, but big town knowledge and reliability. Big 5 star review!

The owner was amazing! I was traveling from Maine to North Carolina and was having car trouble so I pulled off the nearest exit looking for help. After stopping at two other automotive places, I finally found Fox Automotive who was open and willing to help. The gentleman who helped me was very knowledgeable and kind, he really took the time to understand the trouble and how far I had to drive. He gave me a super amazing deal on what I needed to make it home and wonderful advice. If I was in the area I would recommend this place to all of my friends for all of my automotive needs. Comment from James F. of Fox Automotive is not accurate at all. I am again warning all potential customers not to use this business for your automobile service needs. First of all, $155.82 that included a $10.00 shop supplies to look and provide a estimate for repairs was never agreed upon. Second, I do live in Hagerstown, the sports car is mine, and I don't own a Ford. False acquisitions made by this business confirms that they don't know what they're talking about. I believe that Mr. James P. Fox killed my car. Took my car to him in April. Needs a timing belt and new radiator. He replaced the radiator, timing belt, pulleys, and water pump. All was great. In May, my wife took the car on a trip to NY. Leaving NY, in the Holland Tunnel during rush hour, the car started blowing steam and subsequently started to over heat. Limping out of the Holland Tunnel, she pulled to the shoulder and shut the engine off to let it cool down. Again, during a very dangerous rush hour. After it cooled down, she attempted to drive it, again, and again it over heated.
