DeCarlo Hair Salon was founded in 1980 by Richard DeCarlo. Formerly known as Manstyle Hair Creations, Ritch identified a need for a unisex salon in the Washington Square West area, and thus DeCarlo Hair Salon was born! The DeCarlo Hair Salon staff is excited for customers to visit their new location at 1722 Sansom Street on the 2nd floor.

With dreams of owning his own business, Ritch climbed the ladder first working at Mattiace's Barber Shop, co-founding Richard Nicholas with Nicholas Berardi, and managing Anthony Joseph Salon. In 1980 Ritch opened Manstyle Hair Creations. After realizing the overwhelming demand for a unisex salon, Manstyle transitioned into DeCarlo Hair Salon 8 years later and remains today.

Hands down the best experience I’ve had at a salon! I had severely damaged kinky curly hair, I was on the verge of shaving all my hair off and starting over because of the damage; but Mary is truly a miracle worker she gave me a beautiful curly cut that not only framed my face but gave me a fresh start so it can grow in gracefully. She was kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Rich at the front desk was so kind, I left feeling good about my hair and myself; thank you Mary!

I came here for my first deva cut back in February and Charlotte was my stylist. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and it was all around a great experience. Everyone I interacted with was very pleasant and I was very pleased with my haircut. FYI- There was a wait time to schedule with Charlotte! Worth it in my opinion.
Sounds like Nina not only needs a new bf but some time management skills. While walk ins are great, you should obviously call ahead (if you really care about your hair).

Price: $25 for a men's cut, I think $30 for a woman's cut. (Plus tip)
Recently moved to the city and needed a salon that could cut my weird curly hair without messing it up. They knew exactly what they were doing here and it is one of the best haircuts I've gotten in 12 years since my hair became curly. I highly recommend it!
