Same as Todd's experience. Had NO clue about booking reservations for the pool until AFTER I made the non refundable reservation. Luckily, we got a morning appt the next day but our kids would have been terribly disappointed. The AC was ridiculously loud. TV volume had to go up and down the whole time it came on/off. The one door between our room and our neighbors had at least a two inch space on the bottom of the door and we could easily hear us and visa versa. Very odd the doors are so short. Lastly, they offered individually wrapped cookies at the front desk area. Which was great, until

Room was clean and very Airy
Easy to Access and very close to downtown Blowing Rock.
On booking the room for the weekend of July 10,11 we were told the pool was open and the breakfast buffet was still available.
At check in we were informed that the pool was by reservation only, and their Restaurant was closed - No Breakfast Buffet
Instead we were offered a cold and unappealing "Hiker Bag"
We asked for an accommodation on the rate, but was blown off by the front desk staff.
I understand Covid restrictions, but they could have offered a hot cooked breakfast that we would have ordered.

I was really looking forward to staying here. The write up said it had a nice pool. Well, the first thing that was just not right was, the girl working the front door was very snotty. When I asked about the pool she said it was open to 4pm and only by reservation. I said how about 3pm? She said, all the times are booked. Really? Started to ask if the 3pm reservation didn't show up, could she let me know. It was like totally out of her way to do that. An older woman stepped in and said that would be fine. At 3pm I checked and 2 people were in the pool! The AC in the room was so loud

Great inn to stay at - located in the middle of Blowing Rock and very accessible to lots of restaurants and bars! The hotel has an indoor and outdoor fireplace so you can enjoy your complimentary glass of wine at either one. The rooms are well kept and include a refrigerator. The outdoor area is adorable with a little creek that have a couple mallards swimming around.

My wife and two daughters enjoyed our stay at Meadowbrook Inn and would recommend it to anyone looking for clean rooms that are spacious and only a couple of blocks away from the heart of blowing rock.
My wife is pregnant and the room wasn't cooling to her liking (I was fine) and the moved us to a larger one with no questions asked.
Their breakfast was a good way to start a day of enjoying the NC mountains.

Building still outdated they polished it a little from some other pictures I have seen. Still have the original brass light fixtures. Nothing hanging on he walls the room has zero ambiance. Very disappointed after seeing several positive reviews on booking.
The first night shower water would only go luke warm. No alarm clock or usb. Still non working elevator. I am seeing reviews from a year ago that say it didn't work. The outlet in the bathroom doesn't work. The bed was at least comfortable for my girlfriend.
The next morning after reading such great things about there breakfast

We stayed in the annex building while we were here but the room was spacious and clean with bedroom bath and living space plus we stayed at one of the private pool suites which was private and Perfectly quiet and also a beautiful place to stay especially so close to christmas with lights and the snow surrounding us.

My girlfriend and I decided we would celebrate New Years Eve in Blowing Rock, and in spite of the bitter cold, had a great time! I had only ever been here before for Thanksgiving dinner (another great experience), but my experience staying here was even better.
The room, while a bit dated, was wonderful--we opted for the Pool Suite, and it was a unique experience unlike any other I've seen anywhere else. On the top level, our room had a well appointed living room with a gas fireplace, a large bedroom with a comfortable king sized bed, and a bathroom with a double jacuzzi.
However, the best

The people at Meadowbrook Inn are very nice, in person! On the phone you roll the dice if you get the right person you get a different response. My colleague called to reserve her room right after I did. My reservation at the state rate went smoothly and the person on the phone was pleasant, efficient and helpful. I reminded my colleague that the deadline to get the state rate was tomorrow, so she picked up the phone to call while I was standing there. I walked away and she came to my office fuming. The person who took her reservation informed her that the state rate was no longer available

Really cute place! Unlike other reviewers, I thought our room was very clean and nice .... Except that they forgot to give us maid service on the second day!
We had a jacuzzi tub with two shower heads, enclosed patio deck, and a fireplace. It's decorated cute and quaint, not modern - fit perfectly with Blowing Rock. I got a groupon for $42 a night and it was a great deal, I would stay again!
Adequate breakfast buffet, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and pastries. We chose to go to local diners instead for breakfast, though.

I stayed here for one night back in May for my cousin's bachelorette party. She chose the location because it is within walking distance to all of the bars, pubs and restaurants in downtown Blowing Rock. VERY CONVENIENT.
We got a room with 2 queen beds for $85 for the night. Very reasonable. The room was very clean. There was a sofa in the room but it was not a sleeper. Sleep quality was great. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Our room was right off the lobby and had a sliding door that connected to the back shared patio. It was very nice.
It was a Thursday night so not many people there

The outside is cute, the rooms are large and it's very close to restaurants and shopping but for the price the beds are very cheap and uncomfortable(like motel 6 beds) at Hilton prices. We were in a room by the stair case and it was loud all night. I felt like I could hear people moving and talking from all over the hotel. That mixed with the beds made for a pretty bad night of sleep.
