Stage Neck Inn is a very pleasant place. It's on water's edge & beautiful views. All the staff is very hospitable & service oriented. From Dawn & all the front desk staff to Alex & Melanie & all the restaurant/ bar staff to Scott who went out of his way to serve my wife a cup of tea to the maintenance man who made sure the hot tub kept working for us. Housekeeping is very attentive & friendly. Overall our stay was very good. We only had one concern & Dawn took good care of us & resolved it immediately. Thank you very much. Hope to see you again soon!

Decided to stay here based on one night availability and spa services. We were overwhelmed with how beautiful the hotel was. It is picture perfect. The rooms are so cozy and the view outstanding. Breakfast buffet was amazing and the spa services were out of this world. I enjoyed my girls weekend away so much that I am planning my next trip.

My sister just had a wedding reception here and it was magical! We were able to rent a special room on the first floor for the bridal suite, which was so nice to have while we were all getting ready. I cannot speak for the wedding planning itself, but my sister said nothing but good things about the help she got putting together the reception. I loved the location, the atmosphere, and the food! Wish I got a picture of the food but it was too delicious, I just ate it all up (I got the salmon)! The cocktail hour was also fantastic with the appetizers and separate back room with a patio and bar dedicated

Wow! We loved everything about this restaurant. Quick, friendly service, beautiful live piano, and an overall great ambiance.
I started with the brussel sprouts and my husband got the clam chowder. Both were phenomenal! The Brussels were seriously so good and really different. I got the special- lobster and scallop alfredo. It was perfect. My husband got the veal chop and it was one of the best he had ever had. Truly melt in your mouth with such a great flavor.
We ended with blueberry pie and gelato which was equally delicious. Our bill was around $175 after tip and worth it. It's not cheap

Our family attended a wedding here. I was very impressed with the setting overlooking the water. Thus is where the ceremony was held. The history of the York area fishing industry was displayed inside on the walls. I found this to be very interesting. The reception was inside. All the staff respectfully wore face masks. Overall, a great experience!

The atmosphere here is GREAT. The view outside our window was so calming.
Our hostess reccomended the brussel sprouts which are a new menu item. They had a goat cheese sauce with a honey drizzle. Crispy and fresh.
We also got the $5 bread and herbed butter. It's a light brown honey bread. The butter was unsalted and full of flavor.

Stage Neck Inn is located in a peaceful area of York. The staff is wonderful--friendly, helpful, and courteous. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. The views from the rooms, lobby, and the restaurant are lovely. Shearwater Restaurant was great from the breakfast buffet to the yummy dinner selections. This boutique inn was absolutely perfect for a stay in Maine and to travel and visit the coastal towns. Highly recommend!

I had the best dragonfruit martini, followed by delicious cashews and shrimp chips as my appetizers...They were so different than anything I've ever had! So good! I had never had panko crusted haddock and I am so glad I did because it was sooo good! Delicious!! The mashed potatoes were so creamy and the panko crust was so flavorful! Finally, for dessert I had the warm blueberry pie with vanilla gelato...wow!! This was one of the best meals I've ever had!! The best service too!!

This restaurant and their location is one of the most gorgeous spots I've ever been to. I bet it's even nicer in the summer with the ocean view and a sunset. To start, their COVID precautions are up to par! A quick temperature check, and you're in the door. We were able to get a table with a partial view (did not make a reservation) and it was great! We actually watched an entire wedding while eating our dinner. It wasn't crowded at all so it was enjoyable and relaxing.
I ordered the cider sangria and it was just ok. It tasted very watery, not too flavorful, and I wasn&apos

Fabulous. I am a new fan. I was told that it's been quiet and on the slower side yet the day I went it was extra busy so my advice is go when they first open for dinner or wait until 730. There are no reservations except for people staying in the hotel. They have an outdoor area for seating which is nice for warmer temperatures plus they have heat lamps for cooler temperatures. Overall this is one of the best meals I ever had in my life. Beyond yummy. The kitchen staff know exactly what they are doing and are extra accommodating with special requests. Autumn salad the perfect start. Lobster

This place was absolutely savory. From the moment you walk in you can smell all the amazing flavors within the restaurant. The service was spectacular and we had a group of 14 woman. We sat outside and really enjoyed our time, the staff was very friendly and super attentive. Once the temperature dropped the staff came out an brought up blankets to wrap ourselves it was perfect. We spent several hours at he Shearwater as the residents loved coming over to our table and chatting with all of us, they thought we where celebrating a bride but it was a work trip dinner. All of us loved our meals very

I love this place. Absolutely great service and very welcoming hosts. The man who played piano was excellent and he even played happy birthday when it was my friends birthday. One of the meals I did not enjoy but they took care of it so nicely. They also comped the mean that I didn't like along with the birthday desert! It can get a little pricey but it's completely worth it. Everyone else in my party seemed to thoroughly enjoy their means so the food, I'd argue, is good.

Visited Shearwater on a surprisingly not so busy Saturday Night. We had a 6:45pm reservation and were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and attentive and we all enjoyed a round of cocktails from their specialty cocktail menu.
The service all night was great and the food was solid. Our only gripe was the size of the portions. My wife and I split a wedge salad that was the smallest wedge salad I have ever seen. When the salad arrived, I thought they had already split the salad on plates and couldnt believe how small it was. While tasty, it was only a few bites for each of us. The entrees

Mostly a good review, the location is very good, the atmosphere is really nice, and the food was very good, my only complaint was that the portions were on the small side and our waitress disappeared towards the end of our meal, so no more water and had to chase for a check.
I never understood why a waitress would do that, so instead of a nice tip, I reduced her tip size, really dumb on her part.

CORNED. BEEF. REUBEN, Y'ALL. SAY IT WITH ME. This review is based almost solely on the fact that this is the best reuben I have ever eaten. Other positive things to note: This place overlooks the ocean. The view is absolutely stunning. The restaurant itself is also lovely with a large bar and a fireplace as the centerpiece.
I came for lunch on a Saturday in mid March and the restaurant was empty. We sat at the bar an ordered a couple of Aperol spritz's which, to my absolute delight, came in pint glasses. Perusing the menu, my eyes were drawn immediately to the reuben. It was St. Paddy
