One Yoga Studio
All of our classes and workshops are currently offered virtually via Zoom to continue to support community health during this time of pandemic, and while we search for a new physical studio space. In our live streamed classes, we welcome everyone, whether you've never tried yoga before or have been practicing for years. We offer monthly memberships, sliding-fee scale rates for low-income community members, and an Intro Offer for new students.
Services
One Yoga improves health equity in our community through access to a broad range of teachings and practices of yoga. One Yoga currently offers 37 live stream yoga classes per week, and 7 weekly outdoor classes in the park June-Sept. In 2020, we served an average of 68 students per day. We host regular workshops, series, and advanced trainings inspired by our mission to advance health equity.
My intention is to cultivate a safe, supportive space to come together and experience the teachings of Yogi Bhajan through kundalini yoga & meditation. With the utmost respect to the cultural significance of this ancient technology, I have been exploring the many limbs of yoga for over a decade.

Asana, meditation, mantra and pranayama are tools to help us learn how to nourish ourselves with each choice we make through strengthening the intuitive guide within.I am a certified yoga instructor and a KRI certified Kundalini yoga instructor. I enjoy taking my students to places deep inside where they can tap into energy they didn't know existed.
For a long time, David sought to quiet his mind and find peace through ways that were ultimately self-destructive. When he discovered yoga, he learned there were healthy means to achieve the same ends. Through yoga he found answers to many of his unresolved questions, and acquired tools to live the questions'' (in the spirit of Rainer Maria Rilke) when answers might not be immediately forthcoming.
Ashtanga: Primary Series is a fluid, athletic yoga sequence consisting of sun salutations, standing, seated and finishing postures that synchronizes the flow of conscious breath, precise movement, specific gaze points and directed energy. New students are welcome and encouraged to contact the instructors, Bryan & Phoebe, by emailing mysore@one-yoga.org.
Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is a unique intervention based on the robust research that has emerged from The Trauma Center in Boston, MA. It has become a leading evidence-based adjunct treatment for complex trauma (sometimes called chronic, treatment-resistant Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and is the only yoga-based practice accepted by SAMSHA and NREPP.

One Yoga is one of the only studio's in the Twin Cities with instructors that are people of color. Their monthly, unlimited yoga pass is FAR more affordable than other studio's I've looked at. The space is lovely, the vibe is always wonderful.
I'm not sure why some people criticize (hummmm, your privilege is showing!!!) but I've always had nothing but an amazing experience at the studio. PERIOD.

I just started taking classes here. Far more affordable for me as a full time student than any other studio. I have loved it so far and am so glad I found it.

Just this week my girlfriend and I moved to Minneapolis together to start a new journey in the city we love so dearly. I have lived here before but she has not had the pleasure. All month before our move I raved about all of the exciting things Minneapolis was going to offer - and most notably - One Yoga. "We HAVE to try One Yoga to see if it's still as amazing as it was before - because if it is - we're going to have to get a membership together and go all the time"
I thought there was no way I was hyping it up too much.
But today was the day. We parked a block away & walked through the new

Many class offerings with different yoga practices/styles and schedules available. Highly inclusive of people of color including free yoga sessions. Honors the traditions of yoga and talks about their conscious effort to not co-opt it/colonialize it.

This place is truly a gem among Twin Cities yoga studios. High-quality classes, incredible instructors, and an environment that invites presence and calm. Something on the schedule for everyone, and worth a visit if you're in the area.

One Yoga is a wonderful and diverse community. There is a diversity of people, great instructors, and a wide variety classes; and most of the teachers offer immersive workshops, online courses, and retreats to deepen practices. I've been touched in many positive ways by being a member of One Yoga and am continually enriched by all it offers to students. Also, One Yoga does important work by bringing Yoga to a broader community which otherwise may not have the opportunity to learn and practice Yoga.

I've only taken one class so far, but first impressions are everything to me. I really do believe that if the first expierence is a bust, people will not return. As a mover, I am very critical about any type of Movement studio. I must say I was beyond happy with my instructor and experience. I've been seeking a holistic approach to movement/mediation but am usually turned away by "mainstream" fitness approaches - One Yoga keeps it real, down to earth and focuses on a mind/body/soul approach.
The Earth studio is simply radiant - as well as their entire space. It feels very welcoming, safe and comforting
