New China Restaurant

Tonight I had the Mexican Roll and Hot & Sour soup. The roll was pretty good with spicy crab and avocado on the inside, topped with cilantro and jalapeño. I think I'd order that one again.

The hot and sour soup isn't at the top of my list. The broth is thick and almost syrupy in flavor, almost like a melted jelly consistency. Not my favorite.

I love the decorations in this place and the music, it sets the mood very well. The food is delicious of course. Some of it needs extra soy sauce but that's a personal preference. I have not tried their sushi so I can't give a full review

I think they are closed. Called and let it ring. No one picked up. They were good in the past. To bad that another place didn't make it.

Absolutely terrible I'm surprised they've been in business as long as they have. Their potstickers were disgusting chow mein was super greasy the shrimp they use for their fried prongs smelled and tasted old. Hands down probably one of the worst Chinese places in Manteca. There is plenty of other Chinese food restaurants I would choose over this one in Manteca.

Sushi is pretty good, chow mein is pretty greasy almost watery and has way too much cabbage in it. Had a 35-40 min wait. Id rather eat somewhere better

They have good food and they treat you good I have been going to them for years And was my mom's favorite Chinese restaurant.

Best Chinese food we've had since moving out to the Lathrop Manteca area. We moved here from the bay area and got spoiled by the great Chinese food. Now we've found our new go to Chinese restaurant.

If it could be 0 it would be. If your the right tweaker and go fishing out at the river if you go and knock on the back ally door they will open & buy the fish off you. NEVER EATING HERE AGAIN. Who knows where the rest of their food comes from.

I really wanted to like this place... I mean, I really wanted to like this place! The menu looked really interesting and a little more authentic than the other Chinese spots in this area. I am from San Francisco, so the Chinese food offerings in the valley are piss poor compared to the city, but I suppose I will have to take what I can get.

My husband and I got the barbecue pork chow mein, Kung Pao chicken and fried wontons. The Kung pao chicken has a strange sweet smell to it. And the Barbecue pork chow mein was a little bit sad also... There were a few measly pieces of barbecue pork, but overall

Sushi was alright, got 4 different rolls with salmon and tuna, didn't have enough flavor imo but still a good price. Quick and convenient

Always a good place to go and they stay open late! Love the food here. The cheese puffs are a great appetizer and you really can't go wrong with any of the sushi rolls.

Been here a few times and no problems with the food, large portions for the price and good food. Until recently we went and the food quality was poor, the beef was super tough, beef jerky like and the chicken had 3x more batter than actual chicken. We called to express our issue mainly with the beef, and ended up with the owner screaming at us to bring it back for a refund but we better not eat half of it and then get our money back and hangs up.
So we go back just for the reason we got yelled at, and owner wont even come out, other employees were apologizing to us, very understanding after we

All things considered with everything going on I have to say that I will be trying this place again after everything with COVID is done. This place is okay. The fried shrimp was okay. I think it might have given me and my husband a stomach ache but not really sure 100% if that was it. We also had the wonton soup, cheese Rangoon, and the Jacktobe roll. All three of these items were wonderful but the chow mein was not good for us. It was a lot of the lettuce stuff and hardly any noodles. Moving on to the fried rice it was chicken fried rice but the chicken was barely cut up so it had massive chunks

I was wondering why this restaurant has 3 stars.
Now I know. Because people are generous. I give it two but perhaps I'm generous too. I ordered egg soup, it was average. Then I ordered pepper salt pork. That was mostly batter not so much meat. Treated like fish. Perhaps old oil? I don't know. But I couldn't enjoy it.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. And last too.

I was looking forward to this meal all week. This was supposed to be my birthday dinner And now I'm in tears. Thanks for ruining my whole day. Never coming back!!!!! garbage!!!!! Dry fatty chunks of chicken and teriyaki sauce that tastes like water. And no miso soup. I'm so mad and let down.

Food was amazing. Service was a little slow for a late lunch/early diner, but the food makes it worth it. Go here for reliability and consistencie in quality and flavor.

I came across New China when I did a few DoorDash deliveries. It was finally time to give this place a try!

The inside is really nice. It gives an upscale feel for guests. Good Chinese spots are always hole-in-the-walls, but New China broke that cycle. This place is really nice and really good! It is also a sushi place as well. I like that fusion. Chinese and Japanese? Okay, okay.

People were writing good reviews about their sushi yet I tried different dishes. Pork sweet and sour was good. Tempura had more flour taste in it than shrimp.
