Primos Restaurant & Tequila Bar

We decided to have our end of the year's celebration at this restaurant and it was the best decision. The molcajetes are divine! There's are several options and all of them are scrumptious! The carne asada, chicken, shrimp and chorizo are well cook and submerged in a spicy bubbling cheese sauce that is to die for. The black beans and rice soup are also delicious. We were also very pleased with the customer service because everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! I definitely recommend this place!!

Yum!!! From the Blackberry Margarita to the shrimp and chicken fajitas and the bean dip and salsa.... All of It was delicious. We arrived 38 minutes before closing. We were welcomed right away and given a table. The place was full. The restaurant has a good vibe to for Just hanging out. Also great for families. Great job Primos!

We stopped into Primo's for the first time, and were not disappointed. I ordered the El Señor burrito with shrimp, and my partner ordered the shrimp tacos. Generous portions! The burrito is easily enough food for two.
The food is a cut above, with healthier ingredients, i.e. spinach tortilla instead of flour, black beans instead of pinto, etc. They have a nice tequila bar, and make a very good house margarita - tasty and well balanced, not too sweet. The staff was nice, and the bartender was on top of it! We're not usually in this area, but if we were, we would definitely stop in again

Dropped in here for lunch. First time here. The menu online looked good and reviews were decent so thought we would give it a shot. This wasn't a destination thing. We saw it driving by earlier in the day. It's in a small strip center with a market, bakery, wine bar, coffee place and what looks like a very nice Italian restaurant. Back to Primo's. Wow I was pleasantly surprised! This isn't your traditional Mexican food. It's very different. They served us chips and beans and salsa dips when we sat down. The beans were black beans mixed with a meat flavor and corona cheese on top, very delicious. Their salsa is very lemon-limey good but I prefer a lil more spicy less citrus.

To my surprise this place was an absolute delight! We frequently are in the Ripon area for the sports complex ( which is fantastic by the way) so over a long weekend in town we were told about this place. Initially, we were trying to find a place to watch football but so happy we picked this place.

The area is a new development so the building and surrounding businesses are all modern and well kept.

The restaurant its self was very clean and spacious. It had a lovely modern design but still had touches of it being a Mexican restaurant.

My husband and I went to try this spot for our anniversary dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant is located in a very tranquil location. Staff was welcoming as soon as we walked in and throughout our dinner. I ordered the special Elderberry Mojito and while it was good it missed pouring the elderberry flavor. My husband ordered a beer on tap and he said it was crisp and nicely chilled. They offer complimentary chips, refried black beans and salsa. These offerings are not common in many locations and it was all tasty and the chips were addicting as they were thin and crispy. Food: My husband

Staff are always friendly, the restaurant is always clean, we're a weekly customer and enjoy every meal they have. The salsa does randomly change from mild to spicy but overall the salsa and bean dip that comes with the chips are always a nice addition to the meals to come. We've been coming for two years now and finally felt it was time to write a review. If you want good Mexican food with friendly staff you can't go wrong here.

Great service, friendly staff, awesome drinks! Try the Tequila sampler, they will explain what each one is and line them up from lightest to smokiest!

My husband and I dined at Primos for the third time this afternoon. Their "Fresh Mexican food with a twist" is still incredible! Food was delicious. I enjoyed JESSIES FAVORITE. The creamy cream sauce is excellent!! My husband enjoyed TACOS MIXTOS - another excellent dish!! Prices are reasonable and the environment is pleasant. Service is very good and friendly. We will definitely be back AGAIN.

First time dining here the location is great, food was great. I had the chicken enchiladas with green sauce and my daughter had " Jesses favorite ". My daughter seems to like it, she ate the whole thing. I like the type of rice they used and black beans was delicious. We also had the blackberry margaritas and chocolate flan for dessert. Our server was very helpful, checked on us a couple of times. The owners was tentative and care about their customers. Service was good food tasted fresh especially the bean dip served with chips tasted very homemade. Didn't really care for the cilantro rice the way they prepared it and lettuce greens served on plate were just a waste. Other than that it's okay.

I was surprised about how delicious their fried quesadilla appetizer is! I highly recommend it , and be sure to order the guacamole too. (I ordered without jalapeño since I do not enjoy spicy food). My whole party enjoyed their food and drinks. This place is great. My only complaint is that I do not like the flavor of their rice.

Husband and I had dinner this evening for the very first time at Primos. It was delicious. I had fish tacos and he had the milanesa.

The beans are AMAZING. The rice is different than your typical Mexican rice, it was still delicious.
The Milanesa was tender and not over cooked either, it was good. My fish tacos were great too. Would definitely go back and try something different. Restaurant is clean, waitress were cleaning tables and disinfecting the menus. Makes me laugh to see these "Karen's" complaining about how dirty the place is/was. It was super clean

I called for a party of 16 and ended up with a party of closer to 20 or so, after a baseball game. They were kind enough to separate orders by family and the food was prepared in a timely manner.

I can't say the serving staff was the friendliest, but the management team was very accommodating, kind and the orders came out quickly and in an organized fashion.

We were very impressed and the food was delicious!

Thank you for the nice surprise of getting our food so quick. We had to run off to make it in time to the city, so they accommodated our request to prioritize my family's order

My husband and I have been here multiple times and I think it's time for a review.

This place is not really Mexican food, but a Mexican fusion restaurants. But that doesn't mean it's not delicious!

My husband typically orders the burrito wrapped in bacon, which honestly, at first i thought was gross. Is it healthy? Not sure, but that bacon sure does add flavor to it. So, if you are a bacon lover, as my husband, i would recommend ordering this.

Came here for the first time with a group of friends. It has tons of seating inside, a full bar, and outdoor seating.

First thing is first.... they have black beans. Not refrained beans... lol so you already know it's more of a modern Mexican restaurant.

The menu itself is impressive! I stuck with the enchiladas with green sauce and it was delicious. Surprising the chicken was super good and very well cooked!

Great choices for authentic Mexican food with their own tastful flare. Highly recommend Spicy margarita and the Al pastor tacos.

Um... where has this place been all my life? I feel like what once was lost has now been found because Ripon has the high end Mexican food the city deserves. The molcajete was amazing and very generous, and you can really tell they put allot of love into their cocktails! Great experience can't wait to return! Make sure to go hungry! #drapproved
