Love this yoga studio. I just started working out in a group setting for the first time since the pandemic started. I joined zen yoga garage nervously but they are so welcoming and take every precaution. The classes have been lovely and the teachers make you feel extremely welcome. They offer all types of classes including with vinyasa, burn and barre. Such a friendly place.

Phenomenal experience! Staff is gracious and knowledgeable and a teacher has greeted me before every class. I haven’t done yoga since the pandemic—and moved cross-country—and Zen Yoga Garage is definitely the place for all levels of experience. (Even if I used to be able to do a handstand, and now struggle to make it through Eagle…)

Here's why Zen is my favorite studio in the city:
- Welcoming and friendly community
- range of class types, not just yoga
- range of teachers, so you can find your vibe
- facilities do the trick without being fancy
- approachable for all skill levels
- run by 2 women of color
- flexible, none of that strict or uptight energy that some studios bring
- in the pandemic, they follow all city and state safety guidance, check your vaccination status the first time you visit, enforce any active mask mandates, and have upped their cleaning protocols
Grateful I found Zen! I took a break during quarantine

There aren't even words to describe how wonderful this studio and the community surrounding it is! I have been going to Zen for over 4 years and can't imagine life without it! It is one of the things that keeps me living in Chicago. Amazing staff and lots of diverse classes and teaching styles. There is something for everyone at Zen, and everyone is included and welcomed with open arms. Best vibes around!

I’m so happy to be a member here. The classes and instructors are great, and they have a beautiful facility with a lounge area and locker rooms with showers. Front desk staff are always helpful. They really care to honor your body. If you need a rest in hot yoga, they encourage you to rest. Prices for unlimited classes are reasonable for what you get. Supportive and fun environment.
Oh, and if you prove that you’re vaccinated, you can be in the studio without a mask on!

The only yoga studio in the area that is capable of delivering COVID-safe in-class practice! I am so grateful that this studio can open up their garage doors to allow me to finally practice yoga in-person again. My temperature was taken upon arrival, masks are offered on the counter, and the rooms have strict spacing/limits on how many students are allowed inside. The staff are incredibly friendly and I felt at ease the entire time. Practicing in a mask isn't all that bad :)

A friend recommended me to zen yoga garage, and it has to be the number one yoga place in the city very edgy cool. Excellent at practicing social distancing and having a group fitness class. I went to a Buddha burn class, which was outside and about 10ft from another person that's a plus. The class is a mixture of high intensity and yoga, and I loved everything about it! Great yoga poses! Also, make sure to bring plenty of water because the course is a calorie-burning workout. The one thing I didn't like was the instructor played a couple of country songs, and I just thought it didn

Really great place with a nice community feel. Excellent instructors who will meet your skill level with advice and are always willing to hang out after class if you have quick questions. clean facilities and showers. They've had to adjust their membership structure because of this covid nightmare, but the owners/managers are very responsive and supportive. If you are considering this studio enough to read this review, I'm telling you to just go. You won't regret it.

Zen Yoga Garage is top notch, my favorite in Chicago! I've been attending classes there for about 3 years and the instructors know what their talking about, offer a range of class styles from vinyasa flow to a little more fiery burn classes (yoga + weights) and have continued to provide great offerings online.
I recently completed my 200 hour certification with Zen and would highly recommend this program. Our teachers, Piper, Melissa, Nicole, Bradshaw and Alison, are extremely knowledgeable and supportive. They do not simply give you a sequence to memorize it but they equipped you with the

Best studio in the the city. I happened upon ZYG through Class Pass. It's always intimidating walking into a new space, but the staff is so kind and welcoming. The studio itself is beautiful and well-appointed, but the instructors are by far the highlight of the experience. Every class leaves me euphoric. Just had my first class with Steve and his positivity is infectious. No matter the class (the variety is wonderful), it's always an amazing workout and I'm so happy I found ZYG! Perfect for mind, body, and soul!

Tried out a free class here...Buddha burn. The class was an amazing workout! I'd compare it to Yoga Sculpt at other studios, a very active yoga with weights and cardio in a warm room. While the instructor and class was great, the facilities were run down. Out of all the lockers in the women's locker room, maybe 2 or 3 worked and could be locked. The rest were off their hinges or missing the hardware to actually lock the locker. There were also signs on all the outlets saying they were out of order. My friends rented mats and said they smelled terrible. It was my first time there and I

I love Zen! I came here for the first time using Class Pass and felt welcome when I entered. I'm fairly new to yoga so naturally I felt shy and a little intimidated, but everyone at Zen was welcoming and accommodating.
The two studios are spacious and all the instructors are great. I love the Burn classes the best, but I've checked out one of the barre classes and felt it to be fun and challenging. If I had to pick a favorite instructor for burn, it would be Reyna. She really pushes everyone to challenge themselves be it modifying an exercise or using a heavier set of weights

Fortunately, I found ZYG through ClassPass. I've been to many yoga studios throughout Chicago and ZYG is by far the BEST.
ZYG offers a variety of classes that appeal to all yogis. I really enjoy the Buddha Burn and Zen Hot classes, which are challenging and meditative all at the same time.
The studio is clean and posh. I wish they had parking, but street parking has never been a challenge.
Highly recommend ZYG!

Love, love, love this studio! I wish I could give it a million stars!! I did a canvas of the neighborhood and did all the free week trials in the Bucktown, Wicker Park, Logan Square. I was welcomed right away and felt at home instantly! It always smells lovely, the locker rooms are clean, they offer free locks, and clean studio rooms between classes. I've been practicing at home for about a year and was ready to make a commitment to a membership at a studio. I started with Hot zen, vinyasa 1-2, then took barre, and burn. I love the variety of classes, teachers, and times of classes available

I love the variety of classes they offer - yoga, hot yoga, barre and a cardio/yoga class (Buddha burn). I like it so much I'm considering getting their 6 month membership.

I live around the corner from Zen garage yoga. I also live right around the corner from core power yoga. Determined to incorporate yoga into my life, I have tried both now. Core power is super corporate and chatty for my taste. Melissa Talleda at ZYG is the best! Her class always helps me find intentional movement and reconnect to my practice.
Even though I only manage one class a week, I also participate in the yoga for trade up program working two hours a week to pay off my classes. In a way it doesn't make sense as my life is supper busy, but the community is so delightful-- I enjoy my

Really great studio that offers a wide variety of classes for all levels of experience. They are conveniently located in Milwaukee with parking available and a quick walk from wicker park residents.
I've only attended the Buddha barre class, and have definitely enjoyed attending! It's a great balance of barre and yoga incorporating small motions for toning, intensive core workouts, and great relaxation and stretching methods as well.
Overall a very positive experience and vibe. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good workout and a welcoming community!

Tried this place numerous times while on Classpass. It's beautiful with great concept, and I wish I love it more, but unfortunately classes always left much to be desired in terms of depth of teaching. Classes are often physically focused, and the teachers are only modestly experienced. The cute little saying and teachings just felt lacking in depth. I think this is a great place to try if you just want yoga as a physical workout, but in terms of the spiritual and mind connections, you are better of going with a studio with more established teachers.

Love ZYG! This is my new yoga place - and the only place where I've bit the bullet and become a member. The sheer number of classes per day paired with the variety is just unbeatable. There's no reason not to go. If you want a hardcore workout, the barre and burn classes deliver and then some. Want to chill? Vin Yin will stretch you out and help you relax. Also, sometimes there's wine. Best of all, EVERY teacher I've had class with has been a true yogi. I feel like they live and breath the yoga lifestyle here. No drill sargents, no one pushing you to go beyond what feels manageable, no "yoga's

I attended grand opening week of this new hot yoga spot. Very impressive from outdoor appearance to interior decor and most importantly the classes offered.
Beautiful, serene, clean, and ambience. Including cool garage door that is open and you can see as you walk by the yoga class happening in the room.
I recommend Monika Marynowski for hardcore yoga workout. She is fantastic and push you over your limit and you will definitely sweat like a pig.
Friendly staff tho sometime no one is present at the front desk and door is locked during class time. Best to arrive ten minutes early and might have
