I loved my experience at Lakota. I highly recommend checking out this woman-owned studio. At this point in the pandemic when I am going to an appointment I want the place to be clean, have just a few customers, and be easy. Online booking was effortless. Sarah was so easy going and kind. She gave me a great hair cut! They are limiting the number of stylists working at any one time. It ended up being just me, her, and one other staff person. It was a good experience all around!

I received color services and a cut and I am blown away. I showed Sara what I was looking for and she exceeded my expectations. I attended a meeting today and people were telling me non stop today how much they loved my hair. I also love and appreciate that they are environmentally conscious! Thank you!!

Today was my first experience with Scarlett and she was great. Very kind and genuinely conversational, and she did great with my naturally curly hair. She carefully added a few long layers and overall I’m pleased. Lakota Room is a great spot and I hadn’t been able to return for a bit. Happy I had the chance to return today. The vibe is great and Scarlett is a gem. I’ll be back. :)

I can’t say enough how much I love coming to Lakota Room for my hair. These ladies are passionate about what they do and continue to educate themselves on the latest trends. Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel like one of the girls. I started coming here when I lived in the city and continue to make the drive from Katy now that I’ve moved. They’re very clean and have procedures in place for Covid as well as going green. I love that my hair salon is now a certified sustainable salon and doing their part to recycle and help save the environment. Run, don’t walk and make your appointment

Wow! Scarlet is such a sweetheart! She was very gentle with my fine hair and so precise with her cutting. My hair looked fabulous when she was finished. I went ahead and booked my next appointment right away, which says a lot, because I NEVER EVER do that! The salon itself is funky and fun, and the staff couldn’t be nicer. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and comfortable.

Lakota is one of the best salons I’ve gone to Houston! Over everything, it’s about the experience more than anything else. I went to Scarlett for a haircut, and she was so sweet and helpful. She gave her insight, and took her time to cut and style my hair for almost 2 hours (since we were the last ones in the salon). She cut it exactly the way I wanted her to! They are also so clean and safe with covid protocols. Upon checkin, I had my temperature taken, and then was offered sanitizer. She also cleaned every chair before I sat on it, and I love how nobody except people with appointments are

I found Nicole and Lakota by total happenstance - I was meeting someone at the coffee shop near-by and saw how chic and cute the salon looked. Having been itching to cut 6” off my thick, beyond shoulder length hair I popped in and asked if anyone was available for a cut and style. I’m so happy Nicole was free! She was personable and did an amazing job with shaping my very long hair into a chic, edgy bob! She took her time making sure to lighten up my very thick hair with lots of texture and layers so that it swings gorgeously and looks absolutely perfect. I’m so pleased!

I can’t recommend this place enough!! Every single person who works here is amazingly talented and so friendly. I’ve never seen such high quality work. I used to be a control freak about my hair and I’m so comfortable walking in and telling them to do whatever they think looks best because it always comes out amazing. Love love love!
