Since 1949 Feiser Funeral Home, Inc. has been serving the needs of families of New Oxford and surrounding communities during their difficult times. In 1992 the business expanded with the purchase of the former Fred M. Sauter Funeral Home in East Berlin. Today the tradition of providing caring and compassionate services continues.

When faced with the passing of a loved one, it is important to turn to someone you know and trust. Our third generation family-owned and operated business knows what it takes to respond to your family's need in your time of loss. Fred F. Feiser started the business in 1949. Fred's son, J. Clark Feiser joined the funeral home in 1973 and became owner in 1983 until his retirement in 2005.
Our licensed staff is available 24 hours a day and coordinates all aspects of services with total compassion and care. Serving all faiths, a wide range of options is available, including traditional burial, cremation services, memorial ceremonies, and funeral pre-planning. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).
