Benny the Basque Man is doing a superb job. When I step into Basque, it brings me back to my past of enjoying a bite and a drink in a comforting, tiny West Village restaurant.
The atmosphere is lively and more hip than other locations near by, although I don't know where they're all from having lived here for many years and rarely seeing such a "city" crowd.(maybe from the new influx during Covid?). Drinks are tasteful and if one decides to sit at a table, the servers are professional (most having been at Basque since it opened) and the tapas offered here gives one a variety

I’ve been a serious foodie for 30 years in and around NYC and have not been this excited about a restaurant in our area since basque opened. They literally can do no wrong, from prime cuts of beef to the freshest of seafood. Benny the owner treats me and my family well like family! Good selection of wine some really great higher end wines I love. Must try’s are manchego frito, spicy tips and any of the paella…if you don’t do seafood order the meat paella it’s all so good I’m salivating writing this. I go every couple of weeks to get my fix! Oh try the pistachio tartufo for dessertâ€

Amazing food. The wait for a table can be very long and they won't call you if the table is ready so you need to hover. Otherwise, the owner is very nice and the food is as authenticate as I've had in this country. Highly recommend Basque.

I spent a few months in Spain & have been looking for great Spanish tapas in the US. Basque is the best I've found! Strongly recommend the Pan con Tomate, Gambas al Ajillo, Patatas Bravas, and Pulpo dela Plancha

We came here because of the excellent reviews on Yelp, but I'm not sure why everyone is giving this place five stars. We ordered one of the specials for the night, langostines over garlic for $30, which came with three and were pretty flavorless. We got the chorizo which I know is salty to begin with, but it didn't have any other flavor to it. The vieiras rellenas (stuffed scallop shells) had so much bread stuffing in it that you couldn't taste any of the seafood. The only two decent items we got were the chicken empanadas and the grilled octopus. Honestly don't think we would

Having just been to Spain this summer we were looking for a Tapas place close to Westchester and off the Basque we went. Peirmont is an interesting river town, spiraling down from the top of the cliffs, it's very unique. This is right on the river although not with a river view.

The place is cozy and warm and the service was friendly and homely - like they know you even though they just let you.

The food was quick to the table as it was in Madrid and the flavors are very good. Every place in Spain has its own twist on each of the traditional tapas, as does Basque. The Patas Bravas were softer

Stumbled on to this place during a recent drive. From the outside the place was plain. We thought we may have made a mistake coming here but the second we walked in we were impressed. The decor is warm and welcoming.
The food was delicious. We had:
Grilled Octopus
Gambas al ajillo
Tuna cubes
And our favorite:
Manchego Frito
The Manchego is a must have!

Food was good enough to eat and enjoy, so there's definitely that. The flavors of both my mussels and skirt steak with fries were most definitely seasoned well which I appreciate. I would come here again if the chance presents itself but not a go hard must!

What a great find,
We had a sangria, pulpo a la gallega, chipirones a la plancha, croquetas and shrimp ajo,
Except the chipirones I would order the other 3 again and sangria was delicious.
Will be back soon and thank you for the great service

Our new favorite spot for a special occasion or just for a really satisfying meal! All their tapas are larger portions, highly recommend the steak tips! Although we've tried the artichokes, shrimps, patatas bravas, manchego, shishito peppers, pulpo, croquettes, and enjoyed them all. Don't skip on the paella, seafood and steak are both great options. Lastly, the churros are crispy and the perfect way to end your meal. The staff here are all hardworking and personable. No reservations for parties under 4 but any parties larger, definitely take advantage of saving yourselves a spot! You

Love their seafood paella. There's so much depth in that dish. The rice is flavored with minced garlic which adds a slight kick. A paella for two is huge and there will be leftovers for later which I'd gladly bring home.

Five stars is not enough. We drive from NJ just to eat here. You can’t go wrong with anything you order. The food is authentic to the Basque region of Spain. Kudos to the chef. The staff is efficient and friendly. We are salivating thinking of the next time we go. By the way, we always go on weekends for lunch and order food to go for dinner. Just can’t get enough.

Had a nice table on their back porch area. Tried their rose sangria because I've not seen this before a menu. Wasn't my favorite, I'd probably get the red next time because I saw the table next to me get this, and it looked really good. We ordered a bunch of tapas to start with. The octopus, papas bravas, chorizo, fried manchego, and croquettes. It was all really good, least favorite were the croquettes, and the favorites were the octopus and manchego. We ordered a seafood paella for the table. Seafood was cooked well, my only complaint would be the rice looked very crispy and crunchy

Love love love the food but the wine pour is very short . We were 2 and this was our second glass
While we should have really just ordered a bottle, Basque was making out on our error so at least fine a generous pour while we enjoy your great food !

Very authentic cuisine of the Catalan region. I felt I was back in Barcelona!!
The Pimentos de Padron were on point as were the filet mignon tips and hot peppers. I've never had a better paella here in the states. This is a place to travel to!

We ate here for Father's Day and the food was amazing! Very authentic, my father said he felt like he was in Barcelona! Every single thing that we had to eat was fantastic. We split a bunch of different tapas, then shared the paella marisco. The service was excellent as well. We sat outside on their patio and also had the red sangria which was delicious. Highly recommend eating here!

Small, cozy, and amazing is the best description for this gem in Piermont. Bearly any parking in the back, Firt come first serve and outstanding customer service. From the waiter to the manager we always felt as if we were dining at a local spot in Spain. Every tapa was delicious and we never felt rushed to leave even as there were multiple people waiting for tables. The drinks are also on point and really good. I highly recommend this spot for anyone who lives near by or if you are passing by Piermont. Basque Tapas will make you feel at home.

Excellent tapas, great portion sizes for sharing
Service was prompt and attentive
Outdoor seating area is clean and felt safe during Covid. Right at the marina though hard to see the water if boats are parked in the lot.

What an amazing experience. We had originally planned on making this a date night for myself and my husband but due to unforeseen circumstances we ended up going there as a family and felt completely at home and comfortable having a family meal in a very warm and welcoming environment. We took the recommendation of our server Dominic who brought us 3 tops dishes that were fantastic. We followed up with 3 more dishes and ended the evening with dessert and coffee drinks. The owner of the restaurant ended up bringing us complimentary aperitive that were similar to baileys Irish cream but only with

So glad to have a place like this in our backyard. My husband and I have always loved going out for Spanish tapas and have had to drive out to Stamford whenever we had a craving. Someone at work suggested looking in Piermont and I'm so happy we did.

Basque has the same ambiance I would expect from a tapas restaurant in NYC. The music isn't too loud, the lighting is perfectly dim, and OMG they have parking. The staff were all very nice, especially our server Olivia. Now for the food..

Did I mention that we're so happy to have this place in our backyard?! We had patatas bravas,

Ok, so this was a very usual situation. There was some wait for a table but once we got it, we ordered a bottle of champagne that arrived minutes after we asked for it. We ordered filet mignon tips (came on a sizzling plate and were OUT OF THIS WORLD!!) we also ordered a pallea because I saw people ordered it on yelp. My fiancé and I ate the paella until I came across some sand while eating the rice. I picked up a clam that was near the spot I was eating and it was inhabited with black (what it looked like) charcoal. My fiancé told me to stop eating the rice. We told the waiter

I've been here many a time but can I just tell you, the Patatas Bravas is the best! The lamb is scrumptious as well. All the tapas are worth trying! The services is fantastic and the owner is gracious.

The wine list is really good. It's a charming place with dim lighting. It gives a very NYC vibe. The crowd is a nice mix of chill folks who really enjoy food and wine. They have a fully stocked bar if you're into cocktails.

Great place for date night, solo mission, group dinner or special occasions. Authentic Spanish food in the beautiful town of Piermont. I highly recommend

Wait time was a little unpredictable and we had to go back to the car a few times. Service was good once seated. Sangria a little too sweet but tasty. We had the lamb chops, chorizo, patatas bravas, and pan con tomate. The offerings had pretty good flavor but were hard to share, as they came in 3's and there were two of us. I'd go back to check out the paella based on other reviews.

If you are looking for an authentic Spanish restaurant, this place will absolutely do the best job for you! Amazed by not only they serve the olive oil and sparkling water bottle made in Spain, but also the authentic taste of every single dish I’ve ordered! It reminded me exactly what I had back in Madrid and Barcelona! Excellent!!
