Art therapy is for all people, all ages, regardless of artistic skill, interest or background in art. It is a means of providing people with simple art materials and creating opportunities for self-expression in ways that go beyond what just talking can do. This therapy is proven to be very effective in increasing self-awareness and as well as promoting healing through empowering people to visualize and attain their goals.
Counseling can play an important role in healing and overcoming traumatic situations. Often when we've gone through a trauma or deep pain, we create blocks that keep us from having to relive painful memories. Creating these blocks keeps us safe from feeling the pain, but they also may cause strong emotional side effects as a result.

I came to Sally Hand during a very difficult time in my life- I was in a terrible relationship and my mother was terminally ill. I have never had luck with therapist in the past and was very hesitant to go back to therapy because of the multiple terrible experiences I have had in the past, but Sally was warm, welcoming, and so supportive. She has helped me to work through years of traumatic events as well as difficult life events. She is non-judgemental, intelligent, kind, and has helped me to develop very healthy coping mechanisms for stress and trauma. She is wonderful and I recommend her so
