My son has trained at 2 other gyms and when we moved here we had a hard time finding a gym that was family friendly and that meshed well with us. We decide to stop searching and finally found AOW. Since day 1 it felt like we were with family. My youngest is 2 and is too young to do any classes but that doesn't stop him from getting on the mats for some fun after class.

Art of War is amazing. My sons (ages 5 and 10) have been attending classes for about two years now and they absolutely love it. They have even competed in a few local tournaments (their acquired skills served them well). The coaches are fantastic at teaching effective techniques, encouraging the kids, and (just as important) at instilling values such as respect, courage, kindness, discipline, and an anti-bullying mentality. An added bonus for us (the parents) is that the little-kids and big-kids classes run back-to-back and we do not have to run our kids all over town for different activities.

Art is one of the best dudes in bjj and he’s super knowledgeable about his craft. He’s always attentive to his students and he always has little tips and tricks that will improve your game regardless of your skill level. If you’re in the area or plan on passing through I’d highly recommend checking Art of War jiu jitsu.

My son has been attending Art of War studio for 6 + months now and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Hard work, diligence and respect are some of the fundamental principles that the gym runs on and they have not only been a support to my son but have taught him to complete at national levels with sportsmanship and professionalism that is unparalleled. My time at AOWJJ has been nothing short of incredible and life changing! The community at this school is very welcoming, with great coaches and students, and of course Professor Art is a phenomenal teacher! He truly cares for every one of his students, and anyone who walks through the door who want to invest in themselves and become better are given the utmost attention and care. I have gained many friends and training partners through the school, and it has boosted my confidence on the mat and in life. I love coming to class here. It’s an amazing community and family environment where you never need to worry about whether you’ll fit in or not, whether they’ll respect you or not, or any other problems you may have at another gym. It took me a long time to find a good gym in Jacksonville and I think it was well worth the wait. Arthur is super dedicated to his school and his classes, and so is everyone else. You don’t get this from anywhere else. It’s a perfect school whether you’re doing jiu jitsu for competitions, self defense, physical fitness/cardio, or just as a hobby. Huge schedule

I have been to multiple gyms in the area and all over Florida as well as other states such as Texas and Georgia. I have been involved in martial arts most of my life and have even had private instructors. This truly is the best experience I have had at a BJJ/MMA gym.
