Not a lot of wow factor, but everything about it is solid, neat, tidy, clean, and well done. They went above and beyond to make sure we had eveeything we needed. Convenient parking and location within walking distance of HOF.

Dingy, smelly, weird people hanging around. We went in to eat. They were bashing other restaurants in town.... should have known then it wasn't a great place. Food was ehhh. Just didn't feel like a restaurant, it was an actual bar, That just served food. Better choices in town for sure.

Located a very short walk from everything downtown. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The owners are helpful and live in town in case you need anything. We would stay here again!

Quaint little hotel right downtown with off street free parking. Excellent cleaning staff and the owner was very friendly. Best deal money wise in the Cooperstown area. Would definitely stay there again. The only negative was the key had to be picked up at a tavern as there is no hotel lobby.

This is a great historic building in Cooperstown! We had the best wings make sure you get hot if you want some spice the medium was like mild. The pulled pork fries is pretty damn good! Try out the burgers my dad had the jalapeño burger and said it was amazing!

The bartender we had was super friendly and very attentive! I'm definitely going back for the wings! I'm craving some right now... :(

We stayed there in May 2017. Drove there from Alabama! Loved it, great place. Conviently located , like a block from downtown. The rate was unbelievable. We spent 7 day’s there and enjoyable every minute. The tavern in front of the hotel was a favorite hangout for us. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Cooperstown.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Conveniently located in Downtown Cooperstown with off-street parking. Walking distance to the Hall of Fame, Doubleday Field, shopping, and restaurants. Catch the trolley to the Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers' Museum. Great place to stay if you are in town to watch your child play at Cooperstown Dreams Park.

The place is a dive. Bartender was very nice. Several locals drinking and playing pool. A family came in and sat in a booth.

Beer selection is limited, but pricey, especially the craft brews. Food was good, especially the beer soaked sausage. However, the portions are small for the price.

We are in town for a wedding, looking for a place to eat with three hungry kids the night before. We stumbled upon The Sherman Tavern. The lack of ambiance was made up by the food and service! Adrienne was playing both bartender AND waitress and was amazing! So sweet and attentive. The food was surprisingly awesome! Great wings, toasty bun in the burger, yummy sausage and pepper on a roll, etc. If you're in Coop town - give Sherman a try, you won't regret it!!

I stopped in into this bar for lunch during my visit to the Base ball hall of fame, kinda by coincidence .
It was such a nice and pleasant lunch, the bartender "Adrienne" was so kind and helpful and super nice , the bar itself is simple and clean and the food was pretty good.
I would recommend this place if you're an out of towner on a visit to the BBHOF.

Spent the weekend in town for a friend's 50th. Ended up at Sherman's and were treated warmly right away. We spent several hours there and were driven home by the bartender. Now that's customer service. Of course we went back the next day too and, again, had a fun time. Pool table, darts, juke box and cheap drinks on top of friendly locals make this place worth a visit if you are in town.

The Who on the jukebox. Ommegang in my glass. Sherman's Tavern is my kind of place. It's a great bar to get away from the touristy melee going on outside on Main Street. You'll probably even run into a few locals sitting behind a pint glass. While you can grab a booth and order some pub grub with your kids in tow, this place is just dingy enough (in a good way) to steer most families down the street to the Hardball Cafe.

I bet karaoke night is a blast. The bartender, who has been working here for 12 years, is amazing and could serve a full house with ease. If I lived in Cooperstown

Only real sports bar in Cooperstown. Super friendly staff, good food and great prices on drinks. Pretty roomy for a Cooperstown bar, most others are pretty tiny by comparison. Definitely the place to go for football in town. Had the chicken parm sandwich and loaded fries, both were generous in portion and well made. Beers on tap isn't huge but features a lot of local brews, most of which are great.

Only complaint was the men's room was VERY cramped, so if you need your space for your business, I'd look somewhere else.

Surprisingly delightful food - grilled three cheese was tasty. Tavern chips were well seasoned, but lacked some good crisp and crunch. We were there on the early side of happy hour, and it was not very busy. The service was friendly (perhaps a bit too much so.), but definitely knowledgeable and attentive. It's got a local sportsty bar sort of vibe, with a pool table.

As a visitor, this place was alright. Never go too crowded, but that can also be a downside as a visitor. We were not treated differently, but me and one of my friends realized we were kinda labeled as not from here as the 'out of towners' got slightly different drinks. We came back here though, so if in town, it's here, or the place across the street. Worth checking out for a drink.

3.5 stars really. Sherman's one of the two bars in Cooperstown. No offense to Kristy, but it's not really fair to judge a bar in a small town on its Thursday night scene.

Sherman's is best on Friday and Saturday, usually 11-11:30pm is when the party's popping. Okay, by party, I mean the locals are out, it's more dudes than girls, and maybe max of 30 people will be in here.

Don't be so quick to discount Sherman's. The alcohol is cheap (especially beer pitchers), Ommegang is on tap, there's no credit card minimum, there's a pool table, dart board and

There is another bar in Cooperstown. Right across from Cooley's actually. Went on a Thurs and it was exceptionally quiet. Not much interest in the TV. Didn't appear to serve food. Just another bar option folks should be aware of
