The land now known as the Clausen Estate, in Sharon Springs N.Y., had been the prosperous farm of the Eldredge family- in 1799, Barnabas Eldredge built the first school in the town of Sharon for his family and neighboring children on the property. This school burned in 1843. The Eldredge family and their home was considered significant enough to be illustrated in William Roscoe's book, History of Schoharie County, New York, published in 1882.

This is a great place to have a small wedding or family reunion. They have overnight accommodations for up to 18 people and so much room to enjoy all kinds of fun activities inside or out. The owners are very nice and work hard to make sure everything is just right. The lawn is just perfect for an outdoor wedding. The largest wedding group has been 80 people.

Spent two nights here and we could not be happier, the rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable, its very peaceful and you feel like your at home . The breakfast is to die for. So many things to choose from and it was so delicious. They make it to order and to watch Brett work his magic in the kitchen and bring out a plate that is so beautiful. You don't want to eat it but once you have a bite you can't stop. We did not feel like guests here, we felt like family, when in the area its a no brainer to stay here, thank you Brett for going the extra mile to make us feel at home

Fantastic time at Country Manor, Marnie and Brett made our family feel right at home. All the rooms and suites have their own style or personality and are tastefully decorated.
Guaranteed a great night sleep, the matresses are great! Everyday we woke up to a wonderful breakfast ala-Brett (count on gaining a few pounds or skip lunch out!).
Brett and Marnie also had a Contnental spread laid out round the clock.
In my opinion this had to be the best B&B I have been to yet. Superior hospitality, food, rooms. I hope to visit again in the future.
