Services
At MFF, we help people who hate gyms find a fitness home they actually love in NYC's only Enchanted Ninja Clubhouse of Glory and Dreams. We offer virtual and in-person classes, small group personal training, and six-week transformation programs. Whether you've tried everything and never found a lovematch, or never even been to a gym at all, look no further.
After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, 'Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to all ninjas.'. Mark Fisher explains how stepping outside of your comfort zone is an inherent part of fitness. MFF Co-Owners Mark Fisher and Michael Keeler Share their Business Path to Glory at TEDx Broadway.

Regarding Unicorn Accountability Coaching: it's been a totally great experience. Britta is supportive but pushes in all of the right ways. And the time (12 weeks) is enough to really get started on changing habits past the initial thrill of something new. I've really enjoyed that ability to text/email any time and plan phone calls as well. It's really made a difference for me, and the pricing is very reasonable and a great value. The communication is always very clear and all staff super responsive and helpful.

If you're on the fence about joining MFF -- either in-person or their virtual, live workouts -- this is your sign to do it. it has changed my life. i have been a member off and on since 2014 and it is the most inclusive, inspiring, life-changing fitness studio you could possibly imagine.
their virtual workout program, Homebody, has kept me sane since March 2020, and i haven't been as consistent with my workouts during the past (nearly) two years as i have since Homebody started. i am stronger than i have ever been, and in better shape too.
the community is one of a kind. the fitness is super

Quite simply the best gym I have ever been a member of or even heard of. Personal attention even through Zoom. Support and modifications. I have gotten so strong and confident in my movement, and met wonderful people. The homebody program has saved my sanity and fitness during the pandemic. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

I'm thankful for the ninja army and all of the coaches who have helped me find strength and community this year.
I signed up in April after a year of lockdown and years of being pretty sedentary. By late summer, I was sporting abs! More importantly, I FEEL GOOD in my body. It's a strong, reliable, happy little engine that carries me to all my favorite destinations.
Thanks for the new body, and the renewed outlook.

I've been taking MFF virtual homebody classes throughout the pandemic, and I am addicted. I am so grateful to have had MFF in my life. The classes are challenging but every exercise can be modified to all fitness levels. The teachers are fantastic - many of them work in or around Broadway. There's also a sense of community despite the virtual classes - the same people tune in every week so you get to know everyone. MFF homebody classes are expensive considering it's all virtual, but it's well worth the money. I am in the best shape of my life thanks to MFF.

Grateful. Grateful. Grateful.
I wake up at 4:30 am four days a week so that I can take class before I go to school to teach. There are not many things that I would wake up that early for. (I live in the Pacific Northwest so the East Coast training hours are perfect for me.)
Such informed trainers. Such celebratory spirit. The trainers have true interest in and appreciation of us "Ninja's".
Really, I don't often trust enthusiasm yet the enthusiasm of the trainers is grounded in knowledge, expertise, and passion for beings being their best selves. I am now a year member.
I really can't praise

I first signed up with Mark Fisher Fitness when a friend raved about their HomeBody workouts on Zoom in summer 2020. I gave them a try and found they were so great that I was actually working out more than I had been pre-pandemic at a big impersonal chain gym in the city. Now that MFF has reopened, I’ve added in-person group training twice a week while continuing HomeBody. The group training provides an affordable way to learn about lifting weights — I truly learned WAY more in my first session than in ten (more expensive!) 1-on-1 personal training sessions at that big chain gym a few years

I have previously reviewed Mark Fisher Fitness (MFF) and this review is an update to my previous review to reflect my opinions for the last 12 months. MFF currently offers in-person classes, small group classes, and online classes. In sum, the classes remain exceptional.
In-person and online class instructors are eager, give corrective guidance, provide entertainment, and provide thoughtful follow-up to establish an ongoing relationship with attendees. It is clear they try to surprise and delight each attendee. If I were to ever setup my own gym, I would gladly hire any of them without hesitation

"Run Your Own Race" - Pre-MFF I dreaded working out, dreaded getting ready to work out, dreaded going somewhere to work out. Now, I love it! The genius unicorns at Mark Fisher Fitness have developed what is consistently been the highlight of my week through COVID. I have been getting the best workouts ever IN MY APARTMENT! No travel required - they got rid of all of my excuses: I don't even have to put on my shoes. The MFF trainers are a vast wealth of modifications while also being cheerleaders for everyone's progress and straight-up entertaining. I have moved up from my baby

From general fitness to muscle building, Mark Fisher Fitness can do it all. They provide professional advice and services to help you meet your goals through their various programs. I love the diversity of classes, trainings, and general health information they provide.
What keeps me coming back is also the people. The trainers and staff are very accommodating, understanding, and make the workout experience less daunting. Ting, Harold, Rog, Sam, and crew really make it a fun experience, and less of a chore!!
10/10, will continue to be apart o this community!

What a community Mark Fisher Fitness is, and how lucky I feel to have found them! Both the in person and the Homebody program make me feel like I’m connected with humans who are all interested in getting stronger and celebrating our bodies. The trainers know me intimately, and only do I feel safe to try new things here, but I feel safe to fall apart too, if I need. It’s an incredibly inclusive, warm, kind, dare I say FUN way to workout - and as someone who used to run on a treadmill for ten minutes once a week and call it a workout, I actually crave classes here and feel off when I go more

I hate working out. Over many years in New York I've joined a lot of gyms, paid for a lot of apps, and started a lot of fitness plans, none of which I was able to stick with for more than a few weeks. A similarly workout-averse friend mentioned that she'd joined a virtual gym program called Homebody that she really liked because "the vibe is fun and weird, no judgments, people of all abilities, and I feel good after." After a long COVID year of lying around eating chips and letting my muscles disintegrate into goo, I decided if she could do it, so could I.

As someone who doesn't like to workout and doesn't have the discipline to workout without accountability (as in committing money), MFF's homebody classes have been great for me. I can do workouts from the comfort of my home, but since they are live classes I find myself unable to find an excuse to not join class. There is a no show fee, which I think helps me mentally to not think of skipping out as an option. I've been doing classes for about a month and I find myself scheduling classes and following through more than any other fitness program I have tried. Not to mention the

Y'all... This is community is the TRUTH.
Before MFF I had no idea how to get started, or how to stay motivated. I felt achy, wasn't sleeping great and just felt a bit like a potato. MFF's trainers are seriously superheroes with patience, great vibes, encyclopedic knowledge of how to push you to your personal best.
I WISH I took photos of where I started, but honestly, the biggest change for me is feeling like I have a space in the world of fitness. I feel strong and amazing in my skin. (My abs, arms and booty have never looked better, either.)
Shout out to Meg, Molly, Mallory

I'm coming up on 2 years as a member; 15 months of that was the online Homebody program, which saved my sanity during the NYC lockdown. It is so much more than you'd think you can get from online instruction. However, the day the doors opened back up for in person classes, I was there. The staff has been INCREDIBLY communicative about safety, and the classes have come back strong. Like, I pushed myself doing workouts at home, but it's not the same as having a trainer who can give hands on corrections (if you're cool with that), having a full range of weights, and hearing and

Mark Fisher Fitness is a gem nestled in the heart of Hell's Kitchen. In non-pandemic times, their in-person classes are incredible workouts and foster an amazing sense of community. They've pivoted to an online format for classes (Homebody), which has truly been a lifeline over the past year. Some of the best coaching of my life has happened there during semi-private training sessions, which they're still doing (SAFELY)! I would not be the person I am today without this gym, and how many people can say that about their gym?

While I was a devoted member of MFF when classes were in-person, my job moved me and I sadly had to leave this magical place. I am beyond thrilled that I can now work out from wherever through the MFF Homebody program. The instructors are so knowledgable, even over Zoom I feel like I'm getting the most from my workouts. Plus, in a time of so much isolation, its great to be a part of something bigger than yourself again. If you have six feet of space, you can have a great workout anywhere!!

MFF was, is, and will forever continue to be - where it's at. I first had the opportunity to witness and worship these beautiful unicorns when I was a wee child out of college. They taught me to be strong by using form, focus, and LOVE when I exercise my body. It was revolutionary then and now, mid pandemic, I'm back at it! I think I lost 12lbs in the first month. Not that it matters!!! But that was 12lbs I gained during the stressful times so it was time to GO! and mallory and ting and chad and britta and all these mffers are truly on this earth to make you love yourself and feel like

I've tried half a dozen virtual zoom classes but MFF is definitely my favorite. Tons of live class time offerings, really fun Wild Card Wednesday classes, and great teachers. There's always movement adjustments available for those who still don't have equipment or can't make something work for their body or space. I've been taking these classes online since day one and I will keep on coming back!

Five stars for MFF in person and Homebody! I did Snatched I in January 2020 and loved the community, trainers and workouts. The MFF team has adapted so beautifully to the Workout-From-Home life. Homebody classes are challenging and can also tailor to wherever you are in your workout journey. There's a variety of classes at lots of times with amazing trainers, and they make me want to work out even in my little NYC apartment. The cost may be more than some other online workout offerings, but these classes are truly great, and you will get actual individualized coaching from people sharing time

I LOVE MFF! I have been a member (or Ninja a we're known) since 2012 and not only has the team there fostered my love for beautiful movement and transformed my relationship to exercise altogether, but they have created the most gorgeous community that truly embraces everyone.
AND IF THAT'S NOT ENOUGH, with Homebody, they have somehow managed to translate the challenging but fun classes and the sense of community to a Zoom format! I truly never knew I could workout this hard in my living room. I leave every class feeling stronger and more connected to my fellow ninjas... both of which

I have been working out with the amazing team at Mark Fisher Fitness for a year and a 1/2 now. Without a doubt, this is the most success I've had at a gym. Not only are classes challenging and personalized to my needs, but I never have a lack of motivation working with the many wonderful trainers. I joined MFF after some less than stellar blood work, and am pleased to report that everything has trended in the right direction. Not only are the workouts great, but the community is second to none. Since Covid began, the group here quickly migrated to online classes (Homebody) that have been

Absolutely the most supportive and caring gym community in NYC. I am the living embodiment of everything that shouldn't set foot in a gym. I eat garbage, smoke like a chimney, and drink enough coffee to bankrupt Columbia, and yet, even though I scare the kids, I am welcomed. Due to the virus, I have been unable to attend Mark Fisher Fitness my usual few times a week, and it has been surprisingly hard on my already cynical attitude. My consistent sarcastic diatribe has lost its lilt.
But seriously folks--this is a magical place that is run by sincerely good people who really care, and
