Laura Caputo began her career as a hair stylist over thirty years ago, since then she has enjoyed creating exceptional hairstyles and mentoring young professionals in the Connecticut shoreline area. Continuing education has played a vital role in developing and advancing Laura's skills set. Her strong commitment to continued learning ensures that Urbane Salon produces the most up to date trends in the ever evolving hair industry.

I found Urbane a salon with a groupon for Brazilian wax. Never got one done in the past. I was so nervous and scared. but Melody is super sweet and nice and makes you feel so comfortable while she does the wax. She's very experience And her work is amazing. I would NEVER shave again. I used my 3 Groupon waxes and I am a customer for life now. I'm on my 5th wax... i wish I would of done this long ago. Book your appointments. you will not be disappointed!

I don't usually write reviews as you will see from my profile, but I have to write one about Urbane. I have been going to the owner, Laura after a different salon had completely destroyed my hair with product. My hair was broken and brassy and. Just awful. A friend that had been going to Laura for years recommenced her. At this time, Laura was not taking on new clients but talked to me and took me one. (I think she saw my hair and felt sorry for me ) I have now been going to Laura for a couple years and every time I leave I LOVE my hair!!! The high and low lights, she is always adding extras

I've been seeing Mel for waxes for a while, she is The Best, but this review is actually for the miracle she worked with my lash curl and tint. RUN do not walk to her for this amazing service! I used to be an extensions girl but the upkeep and damage to my lashes was too much for me. This gives me the same effect but with my own natural lashes. I love them and have gotten tons of compliments. If you want to wake up with lush makeup free, fuss free gorgeous lashes, don't hesitate to try this out!

I've never left a yelp review before but I feel like I just have to for this place! My stylist Misha is the only girl I trust with my hair, she gets it perfect every time, and I've never had that with a hair cut before. The atmosphere and staff are so refreshing, very friendly.
Yesterday I went in with something in mind of what I wanted and Misha absolutely killed it- if I could've given her a 50% tip I would have. I was very hesitant to get my whole head done but I trust her very much and she followed through. Lovely staff!

I heard really great things about Urbane and had to check it out for myself. I made an appointment with Amanda and waited patiently for the day to arrive! The salon was bustling at 10 am. And Amanda took my appointment right on time. She really is the best and did exactly what I wanted her to do. I didn't need a magazine or a picture of some celeb with bangs-She just knew. I get my hair cut once a year- so what do I know but apparently thats no problemo b/c she knows it all.
