This place is so beautiful and welcoming -- plus Nicole saved me from my own head full of very grown out extensions after I moved here from California and couldn't find anyone to maintain my beaded extensions. She reset my extensions, freshened my root color, and was so easygoing and great to chat with -- plus the salon is gorgeous and the vibes are so good. 10/10, will be spending a lot of time and money here happily!!!

I just came from Lori at Salon Refuge for a new hair treatment and I absolutely love it! I have very thick course hair and have never wanted a Keratin treatment but wanted something that would tame my frizz and control the poof!

I hadn’t gotten a haircut in three years so I decided to splurge a bit. Lauren was amazing, she’s my mom’s hairdresser so I asked for her specifically, she was really receptive to what I wanted and didn’t push me towards other things, which I’ve had from other hair stylists in my limited experience. My mom gets coloring done here, it’s the kind of place you become a regular at. Thanks again!

LOVE this salon! All of the stylists are great and listen carefully to what you want but also make professional suggestions. Nicole (owner) is a doll and you can tell she sets the tone for a professional, positive and fun experience for both her stylists and clients. Prices are competitive and worth every penny. Beautiful location right on the green too!

Walked in for a trim and left with a beautiful haircut by Kelly. She asked lots of questions and understood exactly what I wanted. Not only is she talented but such as sweetheart as well! All staff is extremely friendly and they had coffee, tea and cookies. The price is also extremely fair. Definitely coming back for my next haircut.

I love this place! Kelly cuts my hair. She listens to what I want, is VERY cautious with me because of past experiences I had elsewhere. The other girls all do beautiful work too! I highly recommend this salon!

Emery went to Salon Refuge for color. Her concern was upkeep, she doesn't have time or dough for constant maintenance. She loved that her stylist REALLY listened to her, and ended up with a subtle, very current Ombre effect; just what she was after. The vibe is relaxed, yet fun and she felt pampered (important!). The salon is loftlike, with tall, vaulted ceilings, wood floor and a fresh, minimalist design. They offer Pureology, a vegan product line, along with Redken and Label M and they're known for Belhair Hair Extensions, which attach without glue, heat or chemicals. Women's cuts

I have been coming to Salon Refuge for years, and I love this place! It's warm and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and listens to what you need, even if you don't even quite KNOW what you need. Nicole, the owner, is fabulous, and her staff is very professional. They do great haircuts and wonderful color--and they take good care of you in the process. I wouldn't go anywhere else, honestly.

Horrible place . $400 for a cut and hair color I did not want after a consultation. Rude owner and gossiping staff. Lauren cut hair TOO SHORT , color SO DARK IT WAS GREEN,and when I complained to owner after over charging me for a $400 mess I was met with immaturity and hostility. Out of date 1980s decor. Over priced for just out of hair dressing school service . Dirty, dusty and gross . Go elsewhere

I have seen 2 stylists here and both have been great. The staff is very friendly, easy going, listen to what you want and give you a realistic expectation for the finished product. The ladies always made sure I was comfortable, asked if I needed anything and were very professional. The salon was clean, there wasn't any dust or hair on the floors, the mirrors didn't have so much as a finger print on them.
As long as I am in Branford I'll be returning.

I got my hair done with Kim & i love it!! she did it perfectly and was as nice as can be! I would recommend this salon to anyone!
