As is usually the case, my husband unexpectedly got a flat tire on his way to work. It being my work-from-home day, I was able to drive in another vehicle so he could get to work...but leaving me in town with a inoperable car! I called AAA for a likely tow (my husband thought the tire would need to be replaced, based on a similar flat and what the dealership told him...lesson there...) and, while waiting, called our usual shop in town. They were unable to help but recommended calling Phil's. Thank goodness for that! The tow driver (an awesome guy named Jeff, mentioned in another review!) was

I am 70 years old and need to go to the hospital and my wife explained this to the receptionist at Phil's and she was so nice to schedule me in for today. When I dropped the car off I asked Jason if I needed to explain how to prepare the car for the oil change since every modern Porsche 911 is different,
When I went back to see if the car was ready, I noticed that Phil's mechanic had opened the wrong exterior rear part and therefor wasn't able to take the required 5 plastic snap on/snap off parts off.

Huge shout out to Phil's Tire Pros for going above and beyond. Last month I was scheduled for open heart surgery and we realized that we needed a car we rarely use for incoming family. Said car needed a new rear tire- we ordered replacements, got them to Phil's and then forgot about it until the last minute.
When I went in the original estimate on time was going to be five days they were so backed up, but when I explained the circumstances to them they promised to get them done by the end of the next day (Friday).
I head off to the hardware store and New Leaf, and before I can even get headed

We came in with four low tires, fearing that we ran over some nails.
Jason quickly and courteously checked in the car.
It seems like 15 minutes later, Angie calls up and says the car is ready.
This incredible level of excellent service is what I was used to back in the 1950s! Amazing.

We live in El Granada and I really like to keep our money on the coast where possible. We've called ahead about a straightforward tire repair here and shown up twice, and been turned away both times because it "takes 45 minutes and we don't have time." Once it was because of an (unpublished) early closure on NYE (which, again, the phone call didn't reveal) and today it was because they were full of appointments. Nobody ever suggested at any point that we should set an appointment time. Do people really know when their tires are going to fail?

Let me just start off by saying that these guys are awesome.
I walked in this morning with no appointment because my tire was flat and it needed some air. I just need one tire filled and they made sure that all of my tires had the right pressure
Phill and Angie clearly wanted my to be safe and sound on my way to work.

Our third visit to Phil's. First was tires for my wife and my car. Price equal to those over the hill, much better and LOCAL service. Second time was a break job and 60k service for my wife's car. They told me rear breaks had more life left and scheduled time to come back for rear breaks so I could use up remaining pads (saving me $$). They also cut the fluff out of the service and just did what really needed to be done. Jason is fire!

5 Stars! I love these folks! My experience with them has been nothing short of excellent since the mid 80’s. Phil is actually a friend and his excellent business and service is being carried forward by the new owner Jason and his wife and staff. Get some new tires at Phil’s and support our local small businesses!
