Nick Engel opened the Nick Engel & Co. custom fine jewelry workshop in 2004 after apprenticing with Petaluma Octavia and Alix & Company where he gained his skills in the fine art of jewelry design and restoration. Since then his bespoke luxury designs have expanded to include the Nick Engel Design brand, Shop NED, a line of one-of-a-kind, limited-edition pieces.

From wedding sets to repurposing heirloom stones, work with Nick to create your perfect piece. Every creation is custom designed with your involvement. DESIGN: Inspiration imagery is always incredibly helpful as a starting off point and helps dictate what components you are interested in seeing. We decided to make our wedding rings ourselves to not only personalize the bands, but also personalize the experience. Born out of Nick's hands-on approach to creating custom jewelry, we are proud to offer couples the experience of handcrafting their wedding bands in a build-your-own workshop led by our expert team.

Nick worked with my fiance to create my engagement ring, which turned out beautifully! Nick is an incredible craftsman and artist and I know my fiance appreciated having Nick's expert guidance as he created the ring. My fiance now wife had an amazing time making our wedding bands for each other. Which, I have never heard of doing until my beautiful wife found out about Nick. I highly recommend making your rings with Nick instead of just going out to purchase. We wholeheartedly are able to say we value Nick and consider him and his family friends.
We will definitely be making rings with Nick again in the future. It was just so much fun!!!!

Nick helped me design my wedding ring and update my engagement ring. He was able to take several photos which I liked and combine them into a unique ring which was exactly what I wanted. It is personal and just for me! We loved working with Nick so much that husband went back to work with him on my baby present. His jewelry is beautiful and high quality. His pieces make me incredibly happy every time I look at them! Thank you Nick!

Nick and team helped created an absolutely stunning, custom-designed engagement ring for me. I wasn't very savvy with diamonds or the process of creating a custom ring and yet, they were down to earth and extremely helpful during the entire process. My fiance ended up LOVING the ring and tells all of her friends that I "nailed it." Nick's team even lets us swing by to polish the ring when needed!

Nick designed and built my engagement ring and my husbands wedding ring, and has made a couple more family heirloom pieces for me since including an incredible star of David and a necklace to match my ring. I literally will not buy jewelry anywhere else now, because the quality and attention to detail is NEVER EVEN CLOSE to the work of Nick and his amazing team. Just check out my ring. I mean...C'MON. Even vintage pieces from the Edwardian era don't look this good. He could charge twice what he does.

Nick and his team are absolutely amazing! My husband and I worked with Nick to design and create my engagement ring and both our wedding bands. I love that Nick actually manipulates the metal by hand (with heat of course) as I understand that most jewelry these days is made by taking a computer design, 3d printing a wax and then casting in metal. We are totally cool w the more modern approach and Nick uses those practices as well but his ability to work more intimately with the materials was exciting for us bc we are tinker-y, builder-y people ourselves. I went to see Nick regarding using a stone from one of my late mother-in-law's rings to make a ring for my husband's birthday. He worked with me on creating an amazing one of a kind piece. And, he not only used the stone, but he blended the gold from the original ring into the new ring, making it even more special. He was able to work within a somewhat short timeframe. My husband hasn't taken it off since I gave it to him!

My husband found my engagement ring at Nick Engel & Co, and we subsequently chose to source our wedding bands from him after having an amazing experience. His pricing is very reasonable and Nick & his team will go to every effort to be accommodating and customize whatever you can dream of. We didn't have a huge budget or get anything flashy, but he still made us feel like we were important. I loved that my engagement ring diamond was vintage. He also put some family diamonds into my wedding band and was able to give me a little history about the type of diamond they were. 10/10 would work with
