Brittani (Brit) Rettig Wold founded GRIT Fitness in 2015, an empowering fitness concept based on her belief that mental grit, or "passion and perseverance for long-term goals" is the key to both fitness success and to living our best lives. Since its inception, Brit has has grown GRIT Fitness to three Dallas area locations and a virtual studio that serves women worldwide.
Introductory passes activate on the date of your first class. Therefore, you must book your classes in the order that you plan to take them. If you book a class and then decide that you would like to start on an earlier date, first remove yourself from the class(es) you initially booked so that your pass can start on the earlier date.
There are 3 main components to physical fitness: Cardio, Strength and Restoration. At GRIT Fitness, we pride ourselves in offering the largest variety of group fitness classes that cover all 3 components of physical fitness. Total body, dumbbell resistance training and cardio interval class with isolated focus on each major muscle group.
Say homie, don't show up late with your latte. Please arrive to class at least 5 minutes early. Do not enter the studio if you arrive after class has started. When we step into the studio, we put a smile on our face and swag in our step. No matter what happened during the day we come to class ready to work.
Our motto at GRIT Fitness is no grit, no pearl. You'll see it on our walls, in our social media posts and spoken during classes. In the same way that pearls require patience and persistence to be created, we must work hard and show our grit to develop the best version of ourselves. Pearls are sometimes found in oysters.

As previous reviews will tell you, when you join Grit fitness you are getting so much more than just a gym to work out at, you getting an entire community of women from all walks of life that you will quickly call friends. The Grit workouts are great too though, you do a different class every day so your workouts are never boring. The instructors are challenging but always keep it fun and motivating. Brit & the dream team that keep all 3 locations going are a 5 star, top notch team.

I absolutely love GRIT!! I have been a virtual member for the past year or so because of my crazy schedule, but decided to do the December challenge in person. The moment I walked in to Grit I was immediately welcomed. From the staff to the other members, everyone was so nice and made me feel right at home. I love that Grit has such a wide variety of classes and offers the virtual option when your schedule is wild. 5 stars. 10/10 recommend.

I’m not sure I have the words to express my love for Grit. I found the Design location in 2018 as a new mom in desperate need for joyful movement and community. I found that and so much more! This Addison location has been my safe haven for three years now. I’ve made friends, feel I can be myself, and feel like I am seen. There’s a class for everyone here. Thanks Grit - forever grateful for this community!

All I can really offer is that the good reviews that you’re reading are true. I’ve been a member for a few years now and can’t imagine my life without it! There are so many fun, challenging formats with great instructors. The real benefit to Grit though is definitely the community. It is truly a place for anyone. While I wish everyone had an opportunity to have Grit in their life, right now I’m glad there’s only 3 locations - you’re still able to have diversity but each studio is full of friendly and familiar faces. I joined GRIT last year, initially because they had good COVID restrictions in place and worked to make sure people were properly distanced and that equipment was cleaned after each use. I stayed because it’s a fun community. All the instructors and friendly and motivating, and the challenges keep me committed to my own personal fitness. My favorite class is Destiny’s dance club cardio. I take this class religiously. It’s fun, challenging, and always starts my week off right. However, there are so many different class types. There’s something for everybody.

I have been a Grit Fitness member for almost six years now and somehow my love for this place keeps growing. There's a huge variety of classes that Grit offers and they’re always experimenting with new fun ways to work out. The instructors here are top notch and the fellow members are motivating and supportive. I started out just looking for somewhere to get a good workout, but it has grown to so much more than that. At Grit I have found a supportive community that pushes me to be my best self, cultivates things I’m interested in, and introduces me to life long friends. I'm so grateful to have
