Functional Manual Therapy is an integrated treatment system that couples mechanical treatment of joints, muscles, visceral, and neurovascular systems with manual techniques to enhance optimal function during sports related activities and activities of daily living.
The Functional Manual Therapy(R) (FMT) philosophy and structured system of patient care is founded on the recognition that all tissues of the body are intricately interconnected and that efficient balance and movement requires a dynamic interaction between the mechanical, neuromuscular and motor control systems.

You will be given a complete physical therapy examination on your first physical therapy visit. Greg will evaluate your musculoskeletal system and may review other records, such as your medical history and x-rays. The goal of this first session is to learn as much as possible about you and the difficulties you are having.
The following link is an audio of a Feldenkrais lesson to help you relax and breath easier. This lesson addresses trunk rotation and helps you relax your torso and rib cage. Gregg continues to amaze me with the human body knowledge he garners. He pinpoints the problem quickly, devotes exclusive time to just you, has the equipment for rehabbing if needed, and he checks ups on you out of the blue. I think his mind is exceptional, but his hands are magical, you'll never leave unsatisfied, his personal guarantee.
If your hurt and need to get moving fast, Gregg, he is a miracle worker.

Greg Booth of Sierra Nevada Physical Therapy is an outstanding therapist. His knowledge of the body and physical structure is extensive! He is experienced and talented to local and isolate an injury and prescribe the best treatment plan to create long lasting success. I had a shoulder injury and Greg's treatment plan was a success. Thank you Greg!
