What is POWER YOGA? Power yoga is a fitness-based, American interpretation of ashtanga vinyasa yoga. Power yoga invokes a more rigorous pace to ignite internal heat, increase strength, stamina, focus, flexibility, as well as cultivating meditative breathing, and reducing stress. We create the storm to find our calm.
Our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training is designed to create experienced, professional yoga teachers who are leaders in their community. This comprehensive program will prepare you to stand in front of the room, clear ground, and hold space for growth and empowerment. Our teachers learn to guide students through the Journey Into Power with modifications for each individual body.

I’ve been regularly coming here (about 3x a week) for about a month. Annie and Kari have done a fabulous job making me feel welcome and teaching me something new with every session. I generally gain a lot from my at home yoga practice, and yet I have never been so drawn to return to in-studio yoga as I have been with their programming.

Yoga Riot is one of Portland's best yoga studios, led by two strong, inspiring women who have a passion for the art of movement and breathwork. They will make you feel welcome, no matter your skill level. I try to tell all my friends about them - it's the perfect studio to start your yogic journey, with the added benefit of infrared lighting and cozy heat for the wintertime. Go there!

I've been practicing Yoga for over 12 years and have been to over 20 studios, and YogaRiot is by far my favorite studio! Led by 2 highly educated and practiced yogis with great energy and abundant love for yoga and it's history. Leave your ego at the door, because they will help educate you and your form to a higher level! Love the feeling of accomplishment and strength when walking out drenched in sweat. Thanks Annie and Kari!

These people treat me very badly and reject me. Hi Kari I been to your yoga studio before and you told me to leave. You don't understand me and have a great day . I am a good person. I am leaving no false review. I am a yoga teacher. I am telling you how I feel about you kicking me out of your studio for no good reason but just to hurt my soul. I am not a rude person or mean to anyone. I am a good person and have a good heart ❤ . I love helping people.

This studio is AMAZING, I felt welcomed and so comfortable my very first class, Annie is very knowledgeable and has a wealth of diverse experience with Yoga and Ayurveda. She Lovingly shares her wisdom with her students.
I’ve been into yoga a long time off/on over the years and this studio is very special you get the personal attention, adjustments and conceptual information you need to advance your practice.
