Our recommended drop-in donation is $10-$20, but feel free to pay what works for your budget. When you arrive at the studio, sign in at the counter and donate before class. If you're donating by card, select the amount you'd like to pay on the donation iPad & swipe your card. If you're donating cash, drop it into the cash drop slot to the right of the sign-in sheet.
Please note that your teacher is getting paid from the donations for that particular class. We ask that you donate for each class that you take so that an exchange of reciprocal value occurs. My yoga practice began as a means of relieving stress associated with playing poker professionally online. Long hours of psychological and economic warfare along with a poor diet and negative sense of self led me to seek refuge on my mat. I began to practice yoga on the wii fit, then at gym, then at a local studio.
After a year of being closed, we are thrilled to be practicing with you in the studio again. We currently have space for 30 students. We will continue adding more spots soon. Because space is limited, we encourage you to arrive 10 min early to get settled in your spot. Please follow this link if you would like to sign up for our Monthly Membership!
Deepening your relationship with Yoga is a life long journey and like all journies, it begins with the first step. Whether you're considering yoga as a professional path, a side hustle, or just because you're thirsty for more knowledge, the first step is becoming 200-hour certified. All 200-hour training programs are qualified by the Yoga Alliance and must live up to a certain standard, but they're not all the same.
200 Hour teacher training isn't just about the mechanics of teaching yoga, it's a right of passage. Through the process, you'll learn to step into your own inner authority, hone your presentation skills, and develop new insights about your own inner state of being. Whether you intend to teach publicly or not, Yoga Teacher Training provides a strong foundation in the teachings and application of yoga.
Our vision is to nurture 200-hour teachers to feel confident in their teaching skills and ability to hold space for broad and inclusive communities of people. We believe that a 500-hour yoga teacher should feel comfortable and confident in their teaching skills, but also have mastery in areas of yoga that they feel passionate about.

I recently took a zoom yoga class with Cory S. His guidance was calming and strong. He was paying close attention to the alignment of us students and speaking into transitions and to the possibility of going deeper into the poses or seeing what is there if you stay and breathe into the pose. His teaching style worked well over zoom and I highly recommend checking out their online offerings from wherever you are.

Though I no longer live in Austin, I make sure to drop into the studio for a class when I visit Austin. The PYA ethos/instructors are inviting, warming, and homey. Even with sheltering-in-place due to COVID-19, this coziness comes through and through, with all of the online content they are sharing on social media. Thank you PYA and teachers for making yoga so fun, accessible, and familiar! 💖

This was my first time visiting a studio while traveling. So wonderful. The sliding scale ($10-$20, cash or card) makes it easy to drop in while traveling. The space is very warm (feeling). I took the Motown session...the music was perfect and Lauren was calming and sincere. Local art market and Licha's Cantina down the street made for a lovely morning. Highly recommend.

My all time favorite yoga studio that I've ever been to! The teachers are all amazing and the space is very welcoming. Going to a new yoga studio can be intimidating, but they make everyone feel welcome. There are a variety of levels, but the instructors are always willing to help modify poses to make sure everyone stays safe and practices within their ability without shaming anyone. I love it here so much and wish I could pick it up and bring it back to Seattle with me!

I'm so in love with this studio, it's by far the best in Austin. I've been practicing yoga pretty regularly for a decade now and can really appreciate a) the peaceful vibe of the studio and b) that it caters to all levels / types of yogis. The instructors are all uniquely wonderful in their own way, and there is plenty of variety across the different class offerings. Practice Yoga is calming, challenging, thought-provoking and spiritual -- all the things that a yoga studio should be. I also like that it doesn't feel like a giant franchise (like Wanderlust or Black Swan do), it's just about people

Came in for a class while on a short vacation in Austin. Really nice studio and my instructor was great! It's nice they have a pay what you can/donation option. Only drawback is the studio was pretty warm; I know it's TX and all, but too hot for a regular yoga class. If you can stand the heat, you should check it out.

The Practice Yoga space is beautiful. It has a warm, comfortable feel. It's in up and coming east side Austin with lots of parking. The teachers are what make this studio. Each one is extremely experienced and comfortable with any level of student. I would not hesitate going to any of these fantastic and knowledgeable instructors!
