Very friendly owners of the motel. The owner let me use his land line phone when my cell crashed. A great motel that's good on your wallet and friendly people.

Location right in the heart of Maggie Valley. SUPER FRIENDLY STAFF! VERY biker friendly! VERY customer-oriented! By the "looks" of the Clarketon, you may want to ride on by, but this is one of those cases where looks can be deceiving. I PROMISE, I mean NO OFFENSE by that! But obviously, it's not one of the big chain hotels. There are pros and cons with that: my ONLY con was that there was not a coffee maker in the room. But, honestly, they had coffee available for us in the office that is WAY better than those little coffee pockets, anyway. AND you don't have to fuss

We stayed here for a night in order to go the North Carolina side of the Smokies. It was a comfortable stay and would stay again. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay close to TN and not to crowded Maggie Valley is it.

Sad, Sad, Sad... I was greeted by a very nice clerk who turned on the lights in the room while I was finishing checking in. However, upon inspection the room had hair on the pillows and stains in the sheets, dirty carpet, and a heater and frig with no knobs. The clerk checked with the owner and showed us a different room. However, while everything had knobs, there were disturbing stains on the chairs, and room#2 was no cleaner. I was traveling with a friend on oxygen and severe health issues. The room was not appropriate for her to stay in. The owner said that she would refund the room fee

You get what you pay for, and sometimes you don't even get that. Their website stated this is a family oriented motel. That's funny, I hope your family likes loud, drunk, sketchy groups of bikers sitting out side yelling across the parking lot to each other. I also hope your family likes your 7am wake up call consisting of bikers revving their engines for 10 minutes before they drive off. Let's not forget the lovely wet dog smell accompanying our room, our non working fridge or the doors that don't completely close.

The owners Phillip & Tammy and staff were awesome, so friendly like you were already friends and didn't know it. We were leaving the area when our car broke down. Without having a reservation we were showed a room and given a great price. They had an office manager drive us back to our car to try to help fix the problem (if we could figure it out). After realizing it was beyond our abilities they helped us with our bags and brought us back to the hotel. Phillip called a friend that was a Mobile mechanic and asked him to help us which he did. Unfortunately, it was a problem that only the
