I travel for work so finding a yoga studio I can call "home" every 3 months is critical to my mental health. I discovered Sellwood Yoga back in August. It is such an incredible studio; the space, the natural lighting, the instructors...I am saddened to have my 3 months in Portland come to an end but I am grateful for my experience here and most certainly will stop by if I'm ever back visiting :)

Cool little yoga studio in Sellwood. The cork floors ads a nice earthy touch to the studio making it very cozy. It's a smaller studio space but the high ceilings make it feel spacious and I love looking outside into the courtyard. So far I've only taken two classes there, but the people seem friendly. They've got a bunch of props that most yoga studios don't have for restorative yoga.

I just had my first experience at Sellwood yoga with Ariel & Denise and it was amazing!! I feel so revitalized, refreshed, and grounded from their Restorative & Yin Yoga with Reiki class. It was the perfect way to end the week. This is such a gem of a class that it feels like a gift to be able to be in such a sacred space. Their energies are so pure and calming, you can't help but sink into your mat and just float away onto a cloud.

There is a cap to the class of about 10-12 students so it keeps the space intimate so you really get to experience this in a small setting. If you&apos

My favorite studio I've ever been to. The space is gorgeous, the instructors are thoughtful, kind, and creative, and the owners Bill and Savonn are great people. There is a class for every level of practice here! I would give 6 stars if I could.

The space is gorgeous! The community is kind and supportive. The teachers are excellent. The class offerings have something for everyone whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for decades. Savonn and Bill have a good thing going here and it shows. Sellwood Yoga is one of the best studios around.

It's a little too far away from Beaverton for my regular Yoga practice. However, I've been to Sellwood Yoga for other classes that interested me; Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE), three Neurogenic Yoga workshops and one yoga balance workshop. A great little studio, with good teachers. There is no parking lot for Sellwood Yoga, you have to find parking along the various surrounding side streets, which can be full at times.

I've been fairly consistently practicing yoga for about three years, and since moving here, Sellwood Yoga has basically become my home away from home. I could be rather longwinded detailing everything I like about this studio, so suffice it that I have only great things to say about the owners, instructors, and fellow members.

The studio is very well and lovingly cared for, and it shows. It's a truly special place; there really aren't many spots around that can provide you the magical experience of watching the snow falling and collecting in the courtyard while practicing. The variety

Beautiful space and great neighborhood so always excited to go. Went to a 12 noon class advertised as a vinyasa flow. Only problem is that teacher decided after we started to do something else - some type of yoga that involves constant breathing and repetition while on your back and no flow. Which is all good. But time is precious and our only commodity so the studio needs to respect our time and expectations. Not sure why she couldn't have told us that ahead of time so we could come back another time or go to another studio. Which is where I'm heading later today.

I absolutely love classes here. Perfect balance of strength and flexibility. They always play wonderful music during class & there's a beautiful serene courtyard to look out into during class. I also like that the little cubby area for personal stuff is directly connected to the yoga studio rather than out in the lobby so I know my stuff is always safe. Street parking but I've never had a problem finding a spot!

Beautiful, peaceful space. Enjoyed the classes I attended. I was definitely the youngest person in class every time I went. The demographic of the studio seemed to make the classes more of a gentle flow than a challenging flow.

This place is great. Very cozy, peaceful, and clean. The instructors are kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. I do wish they offered the Hatha class more often because it's so good!

I've been coming to Sellwood Yoga for 1.5 years and couldn't be happier. There is a wide variety of classes and approaches, enough that you can find something to suit your needs, no matter how you are feeling. The instructors are varied in their approach/focus so you are constantly learning something new about your body or to apply to your practice. They are also good about providing alternative positions to deal with any nagging injuries if you let them know.

This is my happy place!! I started going to Sellwood Yoga because I had joined fitmob. I absolutely love this place. Its a beautiful studio and I love it when the back doors are open to the pretty little garden in the back and the 6 am yoga you get to watch the sunrise. Also really like the instructors. They are funny, soothing and helpful. Carey is really great at walking around the room and helping with positions.

For my third ever official yoga class I stopped by Sellwood Yoga several weeks ago and took a "Hatha" style class from Julie. She was a great instructor and was very accommodating of the wide range of student experience levels, from avid practitioners to newbies like me, in the class.

The whole affair was easy and stress-free (which is kind of the point, right?) and the class was well-paced and challenging without being overwhelming or intimidating. I'm not in Sellwood often but when I am I will be certain to try another class. Likewise, Teacher Julie instructs at several other

The teachers and staff are amazing, I feel like i learned some great new yoga skills and have worked on doing more meditation skills I learned from here as well,

I love that everyone seems so relaxed and down to earth.

I have taken Pam's Tuesday/ Thursday F.I.T. class at Sellwood Yoga for a few weeks now and i love it! We do a fun yet challenging circuit (ball plank, step ups, single leg rows) plus abs and a good amount of stretching. Pam mixes up the exercises each week. She clearly and effectively explains each move and gives nice modifications (step ups instead of jump ups for example).

I leave feeling sweaty (yay!) but also like I have accomplished something and am energized and ready to start my day!
