Silver Spring Jewelry has been family-owned and operated since 1971. We are the DC area's only complete jewelry store, with 13 jewelry associates and eight goldsmiths on staff specializing in all aspects of Jewelry, manufacturing, repair, restoration, custom designs, engraving, and gold refining. We take great pride in building lifelong relationships with our clients.
Our expert goldsmiths are highly skilled in all aspects of jewelry repair. From ring resizing, chain soldering, remounting an engagement ring, turning a ring into a pendant, refinishing worn jewelry, or setting your own stones into a new design, the possibilities are endless. No job is ever too big or too small.
One carat equals to 0.2 grams or 200 milligrams. Carat weight is the prime factor that determines the weight of a diamond. Larger diamonds are undoubtedly costlier. Carat makes expressing diamond weight easier as compared to milligrams. Instead of giving three labels to diamonds weighing 20 milligrams, 211 milligrams and 220 milligrams, carat offers a category for fitting the diamonds in a one category, placing these diamonds in one-carat range.

I had a piece of jewelry updated. Ramon and his staff were professional friendly courteous and helped me decide on the new design for my heirloom piece. Their prices were better than other Jewelers in the area. I would highly recommend Silver Spring Jewelry.

Initially I had great service with this store. I went in June 2017 for a watch battery and while I waited saw a beautiful petite birthstone ring, reduced from $199 to $99. One of the smaller stones fell out after about two months and was replaced without question or charge. In December that same stone fell out and the larger birthstone too which I was able to recover. However, just yesterday I went to have this ring repaired, replaced or a refund and was told it was my fault the stones fell out and I damaged the ring and to repair it would cost me $100. I will not purchase anything else from this
