The Little Ninjas program is an introductory program that prepares students for our Beginner program. It is a 30 minute class that includes drills that develop their basic martial arts abilities including fundamental strikes, kicks, blocks and stances as well as self defense and is based on age-appropriate drills and activities.
Leadership students should enroll in our Advanced classes for the Fall 2020 session which is combined training for this session. Our Leadership program (ages 10 and up) challenges both mind and body through a Leadership approach to all our training. Classes are 45 minutes long and are both physically and mentally challenging.
FMA offers Martial Arts Birthday Parties in the studio year-round. If your student would like to host a Birthday Party at FMA, please see FMA Management to schedule it and work out any specific details you may require. The FMA Chief Instructor will provide a fun, educational and inspirational training session specifically designed for your student and their friends.
Parents are encouraged not to 'drop-n-go' and instead stay in class and observe their child's participation. As a parent of a FMA student, you will learn much about the program to better assist your child's learning as they progress as well as support practicing at home. It is also important for your child to see your involvement through encouragement, support and recognition of your child's daily class experiences and achievements.
We extend a warm welcome to all our new families! Here is what you can expect in starting here at FMA as well as some words of wisdom for parents of a shy child.
The first couple of classes in every session can be a little hectic with new student check-ins and issuing of uniforms, as well as after class with our nightly announcements including an overview of our 'Black Belt Way' Home Recognition Star Program, all the while students for the next class are entering the studio. With that, I promise that after the first week, we settle in nicely to the routine of training.

We started bringing our 4.5 year old, at the recommendation of several friends. We are so glad we did, because FMA teaches such great lessons for all ages - patience, following directions, determination, confidence, independence and focus - but they have been especially relevant as we prepare him for kindergarten. We'll be back, for many years!
