Are you tired of the time and energy you spend thinking or worrying about food, calories, weight or exercise? Are your relationships with your family and friends suffering as a result of excess focus in these areas? I specialize in the treatment of eating, mood and body image issues including anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder.

The good news is that eating disorders are treatable, and the sooner you seek treatment, the better your chances are for recovery. Seeking help from a therapist who specializes is the first step. I know it can be hard to ask for help and to find the right therapist, so I offer afree 15 minute phone consult to learn more about your specific situation and guide you in getting the help you need.
Services
I have 30 years of experience providing individual, familyand group therapy for adolescents and adults. I work with males and females and accept clients at all stages of recovery. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a consultant to local schools, universities, athletic departments as well as other health care professionals.
My clinical style is genuine, interactive, compassionate and straight forward. I am very passionate about my work, and I feel honored and privileged to walk with each of my clients through their recovery process. My initial goal is to provide you with a sense of hope, while creating an atmosphere of safety and trust.
How do I get started? The first step is to schedule an initial consultation. During this first session, I will learn more about you and why you are seeking help. We will discuss how your concerns and symptoms are impacting the quality of your life physically, socially and emotionally. After obtaining some personal history, I will let you know my recommendations for treatment and how I would approach helping you.
If you suspect your child, friend or loved one is suffering from an eating disorder you are probably feeling any number of emotions: scared, overwhelmed, confused, anxious, frustrated, guilty or maybe even angry? These feelings are all very normal! Eating disorders are very complicated and they can be very taxing on relationships.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by trying to balance the demands of motherhood and/or work, and holding it all together? Have you forgotten what "fun" is? Do you find yourself trying to cope by getting too little sleep, drinking too much coffee or wine, or snacking throughout the day and night? As women in this culture, we easily become so focused on helping and nurturing others that we disconnect from ourselves, our bodies and our needs.
