Michi's Catering

I wish I could give this entire team 10 stars!! We are so thankful to have found Michi and even more grateful that they were available for our wedding day. Honestly, words cannot express how AMAZING the entire team is. Michi is an all-service caterer, and trust me, you'll need a team that can handle not only food, but day-of logistics, rentals, bar, etc. and as detail-oriented as this team.

Michi Catering is a wonderful option for Asian Fusion catering for events. The food is wonderful, freshly prepared, and delicious. We love having them at Mountain House Estate. From freshly baked sourdough bread, to a fresh sushi bar, to elegant meat dishes, to delightful cocktails, their presentation and service is well thought out and performed.

Michi's did the catering for our daughter's wedding in San Jose. From start to finish, they were an absolute delight. These are truly good people who provide excellent food and service. The pre-contract "tasting" was better than most restaurant meals, they were responsive to all communications and requests, every single interaction was friendly and professional, and their service at the event was spot-on. There were no problems, hassles, annoyances or other issues of any type. I look forward to hiring them again for some other event.

Michi's catered our backyard wedding a couple of weeks back. We couldn't be happier with this decision, and we're grateful we found this family-owned business! Woot 100th review! Y'all, I would give Michi's Catering a hundred stars if I could. I'd been looking for months for a place to get a sushi platter during the pandemic and just could not find any in the South Bay. I accidentally came across Michi's on Instagram and was truly ecstatic when I saw their sushi platter. Since we weren't going anywhere for the long weekend due to the pandemic, we decided to go big treat ourselves to their sushi platter and uni. We had Michi cater our wedding, and we couldn't have made a better choice. Our wedding day was perfect. Michi helped create the sweet, intimate atmostphere that we envisioned. We received so many complements on the food, which was amazing (of course), and I personally appreciated how they helped both set up and tear down our table decorations. The Michi team was pro at making our wedding as safe and socially distant as possible. They made the wedding day itself so easy and special.

Michi catered my sister's micro wedding in my backyard and they provided the best service. I was coordinating everything with Mike and Raphael a few months leading up to the day and they were so accommodating and responded to every question promptly. It was also nice that we went through them for the party rentals and they made everything so seamless. We had several changes and they worked with us with no issue whatsoever.

The day of the wedding, they all wore masks and gloves and ensured we all felt safe and comfortable. They worked out of the garage and I have no idea how they pulled everything

We had Michi's sushi bar at our wedding reception during cocktail hour and it was a great hit! Mike and the staff were great, the lines were long but they kept it moving. Before meeting in person for a tasting, Mike and Raphael reached out to ask for a list of ingredients my husband and I love and a list we dislike. This list was used to customize dishes to our taste. There was not a single dish

Michi provided a class for our staff retreat and it was an amazing experience! Raphael was engaging and was very clear with directions that helped move the event along and allow participants of any skill level keep up. There were plenty of options that allowed each person feel like they were creating their own unique roll. The appetizers passed during the event had great presentation and were delicious. We had Michi's cater our wedding, and the first thing our friends and family told us after our big day was how AMAZING the food was! Seriously, everyone was saying how it was the best wedding food they've ever had. From the sushi roll bar and bbq duck station, to the small hors d'oeuvres and large entrees everything was a hit!

Additionally, every interaction we've had with the Michi team has been incredible. They go above and beyond each step of the way and are 100% transparent, clear, and friendly with their communication.

They are amazing. I really loved everything about them. Raphael and Mike are very personable and their father Michi is the best. We really bonded over my now-husband's favorite type of kimchi (for reference, it's the whole baby radish one). I really hope we get to make kimchi with them one day.

They took the time to learn about our families and craft a menu that not only met our budget but exceeded expectations.

They did our wedding at Thomas Fogarty Winery and everyone said that the food was fantastic. Their service is friendly and personal. Michi worked the sushi station himself and was so charming with all the guests. I would highly recommend them for any event or occasion

I was tasked with planning my company's holiday party with a rather tight budget. Champagne taste... beer (ish) budget. I don't have extensive party planning experience so I decided to enlist the help of professionals. A co-worker recommended Michi based on good word-of-mouth. I decided to reach out.

Not a sit-down restaurant! It is part of a tiny food court set-up inside the casino and the menu is quite small. The staff is very friendly and polite.

Haven't been there for a few years and was surprised to see a living social coupon for $50 that gets you $100. Was anxious to get some nice rolls we had with lots of tuna, however non of the rolls on the menu had much tuna, just a lot of macadamia nuts and mayo sauces with lesser tasting fish, etc. Seems they put everything on a roll except the much quality fish. They also upped the prices considerably, seems almost double what they used to be for less fish. Even with the coupon we left unsatisfied and won't be back unless something changes.

The Special Bento Box 1 was not good. The salad was okay. The California Roll was terrible. Most restaurants use snow crab, but they use imitation crab meat. The seafood udon listed on the menu for $13.95 and we were charged $16.50 because they gave us the large portion without asking us. It was mainly broth with very little noodles and seafood. The prices are high with the type of ingredients they give you. The service was not great. I am very disappointed. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Definitely not a contender for the Best Sushi in town.

This has been a favorite of my friends and I for years. It's friendly, well run and the fish is always really good. Sit at the counter, get to know your chef, and share a little sake.

The food quality is pretty good but not much better than other sushi places I've been. Had even brown spots on my sake nigiri which shouldn't happen in this price range. And when you consider to compare price and quality/amount you'll be disappointed. Really don't know why so many highlight this place.. it's above average but not worth it :-/

If you value high quality fish and you're willing to pay extra for it this place is great. I'd go back if it was within our budget, but I can have sushi twice elsewhere for the price of one visit here.

Cons: Expensive. Most items were priced $8-$10 dollars higher than other places. $8 Nigiri, $17-$22 Special Rolls, etc. Ended up spending more than we usually spend for sushi, even with a Google offer.

Michi spoils you. It is now the only sushi we eat. Everything else just does not compare. What makes it special is the presentation and the amazing combinations of sauces sprinkled on your sushi.
