I started Body Balance Therapeutic Massage in 2010 with a vision to use massage therapy to help people find balance in their bodies and continue their favorite outdoor activities. As the years went by, I realized something was missing. Massage therapy was getting excellent results for my clients, but try as we might, those results didn't last; the pain kept coming back!
Not willing to settle for short-term results, I set out to learn everything I could about the body and pain. I was specifically interested in how to help my clients locate the cause of their pain and then how to alleviate the pain forever. What I discovered is that massage is only one component of a multistep journey.

I've really enjoyed my experience at Body Balance Spa. Carrie does a great job. She seems to really try to figure out what I need and massage appropriately. She finds just the right depth of massage to be effective but not make me really sore the next day (as has happened to me with other massage therapists).

As a jewelry maker I often suffer from aches and tight muscles from performing repetitive tasks at my jewelry bench. Today I had a deep tissue massage from Zeb at Body Balance Spa, LLC in Blacksburg and could not have been more pleased.
My 90 minute session began with a face massage, it is amazing how much stress is held there - it was wonderful. Among my favorite aspects of my body work today were my face, hand and upper back massages. Zeb immediately located my "tight" areas and worked on them slowly and deeply until they released.
