Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy offers classes for children ages 4 to 9 and incorporates strength and conditioning to promote body awareness and physical wellness. Mental wellness is equally important, and classes are designed to boost a student's self-confidence. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy offers classes for teens ages 10 to 15.
As with the kids' class, the teens' class is structured to challenge students, whether progressing from the kids' class or just starting out, to master the techniques and foster mutual welfare and respect. Adult classes are available for students age 18 and older. Each student has his or her own reason for enrolling, and Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy works to satisfy every student's needs.

It is time again to formally announce the Twelfth Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Tournament has officially been scheduled! This tournament is open to ALL Jiu-Jitsu academies regardless whether they are part of the Charles Gracie network. Men, women, and children of all age groups and belt levels, from white to black belts are invited to compete and attend.

I've been going to Charles Gracie in Tracy for about a year and a half, as well as my 7 year old daughter, and we love absolutely everything about the academy. Top notch instruction! Friendly atmosphere. Everyone feels like a friend when you get to class. But don't let that make you think it's easy work. It's HARD! They push you in the best way possible. I had a short stint in Tracy, at the Charles Gracie Academy (being I am from AZ). While I was inexperienced and in my later years, I was treated with respect and also challenged. What a privilege it was to train under Master Charles Gracie and all the professors at his academy. Many don’t realize that you are training with and under Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu royalty. Oh how I wish I was closer!

The contract is a terrible idea! Some people only roll with their click, instead of dividing the class into weight classes and ability. Some of the lower belts should be black belts, and some of the black belts should be lower belts. The attendance cards promoting people based on attendance instead of an ability test, is a business tool. Upper belts will tell you to slow down instead of tapping.

We have 5 family members training here and will be 6 once our youngest becomes of age. The environment from our team mates and professors are amazing. Everyone has been helpful and patient since day 1! Only regret was not starting sooner.
We checked out other academies in the area but even my kids chose to train here because of the attention and quality instruction they receive from their professors. We tried the free trial session and never got an ounce of sales pressure to sign up.
This is perfect for anyone wanting to learn self defense also! I find comfort in knowing that my wife and kids

So glad I was recommend this place! I strongly believe girls should learn some type of martial arts to protect themselves. I’m so impressed by the instructors. My daughter loves this sport that she talks about never quitting. She’s sees her growth and knows it works. The facility is clean and they take extra steps to make sure everything is sanitized and cleaned before, between classes and after. We’ve tried another gym with my other daughter and it doesn’t compare to this place. This is top notch training.

First of all, I would like to say that the benefits of Jiu-Jitsu are evident to millions of practitioners around the world. It is a premiere and complete art of self-defense that is ideal for children and adults to learn. That being said, some academies are better than others in many areas. And it is in my personal experience and opinion that Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy is one of the best schools you could attend or place your children in. My children and I have trained here for 8 months, and in our time, we have grown as a family. Some of this has to do with the training of the martial art

My kids started here about one year before I joined. They absolutely love it and I have seen them get more confident as they show up and train. If you are looking to get in shape and learn something new, look no further. Charles Gracie and all the instructors are professional and make you feel at home. It is a family environment where you feel safe to train. Facilities are clean. Training BJJ at this academy must be one of the best decisions I made in life. Not an easy journey, but very gratifying.

My son has attended Gracie Jiu Jitsu for the last 18 months. His self confidence has increased dramatically, and he is in a lot better shape than when he started. The instructors are excellent and have really given him a lot of one on one instruction. Charles Gracie has always been very nice to our whole family. If you know the Gracie legacy it has been an honor for my son to train there.
