Nirvana Yoga Studio
Nirvana Yoga opened its doors in Cabbagetown in 2006 and we've been dedicated to the practice and teaching of healing and accessibility ever since. Our intention is to create a safe place for students to create and work and feel supported by our teachers. We are mainly a Hatha Yoga studio, however our teachers explore and study many paths of wellness that all contribute to our overall offerings and vibe.

Nirvana is offering it's 200 hour yoga training in an all virtual format! We have 14 years of experience and love helping teachers find their authentic practice and voice. Limited space for the 2021 training.
Services
We offer a Land Acknowledgement for the space we occupy with an understanding that this acceptance of responsibility is the very least we can do. This practice of consistent acknowledgement can generate awareness and support for Indigenous issues and communities. However, it is a small first step that requires little labor and change from the beneficiaries of colonial practices.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share space with me. I am so excited to get to know you. A little about me. I was born in the beautiful Trinidad and Tobago, and raised in Indonesia and Hong Kong. I am a singer, actor, dancer, recently published author, and lover of all things yoga! If you wish to know more, please feel free to visit my website, www.janineayn.com and my Instagram @janineayn.
Class will be held in Chosewood Park for those coming in person and streamed on google meet for those practicing from home. Address and link to attend will with be shared via email prior to the event. This is a donation based class. Our intention is to raise a minimum of $1500 for this cause. Share what you are able!
Nirvana is offering it's 200 hour yoga training in an all virtual format! We have 14 years of experience and love helping teachers find their authentic practice and voice. Limited space for the 2021 training. Attendance is required for all Saturday sessions. Some absence is permissible due to the nature of virtual learning platforms and recording scenarios.

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality
Nirvana is a fantastic yoga studio, with excellent classes and first-rate customer service. I have taken classes with several instructors, and have been pleased each time. The instructors are professional and well-prepared. I always feel better after class - refreshed and grounded.

I've been here a couple times and it is just an average studio. However, what I am truly and utterly shocked about is this workshop they have decided to put on. This workshop is free to black people and $120 for white people. This is 100% Racism, and if you disagree then just ask yourself this; if black people had to pay $120 and whites got it for free would it then be racist? I WILL NEVER support this business again! We need businesses in this neighborhood to unite everyone, and this is just tearing it further apart.

I am a beginner & I really enjoyed yoga at this studio! We meditated & also did a mini painting. With so much going on in my personal life I needed an escape & this place really helped with that! My instructor was amazing!

Nirvana is my favorite yoga studio in Atlanta. It has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The space is gorgeous with beautiful art and windows to enjoy the old growth and flowering trees. The classes are very affordable - they've offered $5 noon yoga for years! The teachers are top notch as well. I'm a big fan of Lucy Curtis who makes the practice fun while keeping you safe. I always feel great when I leave.

I've been going here for several months. Great yoga studio. Not overly intimidating, yet still challenging enough to improve my overall health.

Spiritual, (but not preachy) comfortable, supportive, lovely studio. Entry was currently under renovation and signs are a bit confusing Keep looking until you find it; it is worth it. Brittney Bruderman provided a nice sequence with lots of offers for modification. Lots of support for newby orientation. Warm and welcoming.

Gentle Yoga was the perfect class to take after traveling for several days. Airplane seats and hotel beds led to aches and tenderness that only yoga could fix. This class was well led by Lucy and I feel amazing now!

This is the best studio I've ever been to! The instructors are really well-trained and caring. The space is welcoming and it is easy to check in and pay--studio is on the Mind Body app, and they have a receptionist who handles sign-in. The instructors and classes differ in intensity and style, but I think the written descriptions of classes on their site gives you a good idea of what to expect. Like any studio, it's best to try out a few different classes and instructors to see what fits you personally. What I like about Nirvana in general, though, is that the classes are really holistic

Well appointed and kind yoga studio (free water and tea!). Get yourself upstairs, down the hall, and into their beautiful studio for a class. Lucy teaches an incredible All Levels, full of humor and compassion and thoughtful alignment cues. Seriously, go now.

This place isn't for people who like to sweat and get a workout. I've gone to a lot of yoga studios, and the classes at Nirvana are like the last 15 minutes of the classes I typically go to, except stretched out over an hour and fifteen minutes. I've been to about 6 classes and I've never broken a sweat. The instructors are nice and the studio is cozy, but if you're looking to change your body at all try somewhere else (Hotlanta, Corepower, Highland Yoga, etc).

I attended Narinder's Kundalini yoga class on Saturday morning at 11 and it was amazing. The space is conducive to a beautiful experience and the class was educational, spiritual and physical all at once. If you haven't tried KY I highly recommend it. It's a game changer.

Love this nest. The teachers are all so down to Earth and the wood paneled room is very serene. It's on the second floor. I visit often :)

This yoga studio is WONDERFUL. The space itself is amazing and so are the teachers. I've been to about five classes so far all with different instructors. Each one is kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this studio especially for beginners like myself!

We came here to try it out at the $5 Sunday class. It was a small group led by Catlin. It was a very pleasant well led class.

The studio was warm and inviting. There was plenty of room.
There are windows to let in natural light and fans to help circulate the air.
The class was very challenging but relaxing with a good flow.
You can rent mats for a dollar.
There is a kitchen where you can get water and tea which is a very nice touch.
They accept credit cards.
Parking is street parking which was easy to find on a Sunday.

Definitely give it a try as a intimate yoga studio.

Sometimes the classes are really excellent, then again sometimes the attitude is so thick you couldn't cut it with a smudge stick.
