Embarcadero Company is a full service management company and has actively managed property since 1967. A majority of our properties are located in Isla Vista and we provide rentals to UCSB, Santa Barbara City College, and other students in the Santa Barbara area. We pride ourselves in being available during daytime hours both in our office and by telephone.

You can come into the office or reach us by phone Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30 am and 1:00 pm at (805) 968-3508. If you call after hours, you can leave a message and we will return your call the next business day. For any emergency maintenance requests during non-business hours, please text Mark at (805) 714-4624.

Tl;dr The landlady suffers from some form of mental health issue. And will not hesitate to beat you with blunt objects. Be safe and stay away!
I parked in one of the tenant spaces when visiting a friend, and instead of towing me like any sane human would do, she decided to block me in with her car and ASSAULT ME WITH A METAL BASEBALL BAT!
She then proceeded to activate the hold-up alarm in her office, and threatened that I leave the property (without my car) or the police would "chain me up" and take me away.
I called the police, and they thankfully arrived promptly and controlled the situation

Rent at your own risk. After 17 years of on-time rent payment, Norma attempted to evict me with 8 days notice via phone call in retaliation for my written request for necessary repairs. The ceiling in the kitchen was leaking and falling in pieces. The heater didn't work. The window in the front bedroom leaked when it rained and so did the walls. The building was long overdue for a new roof. There also appeared to be a sewage leak under the bathroom. This company does not operate legally, and you will NOT get your deposit back.
