Services
All information is confidential. The Free Consultation is a preliminary conversation, no pressure - just a way for you to find out what to do next. We understand how difficult it is to talk about an alcohol or drug problem. Don't worry, that's our job and we want to make it easy and comfortable. This is an important first step.
Susan Farmer is the Human Resources/Practice Director at NewDay Counseling. Susan has worked in the field of addiction treatment since 1984. Susan meets the clients when they first come through the door, helps them get into treatment and ensures that all the proper paper work is completed. Susan supervises the insurance verification.
When a NewDay client is admitted to Intensive Outpatient, they are seen upfront by our Medical Director, Dr. Michael Hall. The client receives a physical, drug screen, blood work and assessment to determine if they need medication to help with withdrawals. Many people with opiate addiction have been prescribed Suboxone.
About NewDay Counseling: NewDay is an outpatient addiction treatment clinic, located at 1805 Abercorn Street, Savannah Ga. 31401. A large part of recovery from addiction is education, learning what the drugs do to the body, mind and relationships, learning about all aspects of recovery, and learning the skills of relapse prevention. At NewDay Counseling we focus on relapse prevention. There are myriad circumstances, especially in early recovery, that can sabotage recovery, so if everyone involved understands what these relapse triggers are, then recovery is enhanced.

My decision to enroll in and complete the intensive outpatient program at New Day Counseling was one of the best decisions of my life. The group therapy sessions, the private therapy sessions, and the educational classes were of the highest quality. This program has given me not only an understanding of my struggle with alcohol use disorder but the tools to manage it and live a more successful and fulfilling life. I highly recommend this program for any and all individuals suffering from the disease of addiction.

I'm a patient at Newday counseling, and I called there seeking professional help. There, I've found people that they were willing to help me get started with my process. Professionalism is what I found, people who knew about my addiction and are willing to educate me. There, I've found a lot more than what I expected, there is a 24 hour hot line, with a the other end willing to talk with me about issues that I was having problems with, and help me understand my addiction. I go to this place four times a week, under three different counselors. That communicate well with each other to help me Even
