Hello, and thank you for visiting the Horse N' Carriage website. My name is Kevin O'Boy, and I have been the owner of the restaurant since 1984! To all of our loyal customers, let me first say, thank you for your patronage over these incredible years. We are not a chain, we are a true neighborhood family restaurant.
Our wonderful staff resembles the community, as all of them live in the surrounding towns. I am very proud of my staff. Many of us have been together for over 30 years. Vinnie Megna, the executive chef, along with Morris Naggar, the head chef, have been with my family since we opened 34 years ago. Vinnie and Morris take enormous pride in the food they prepare and serve, and we use only the freshest of ingredients.

Services
Ten large roaster wings coated with Jamaican jerk sauce, then cooked off over an open flame. Crispy Romaine lettuce, shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, sliced grilled chicken tenders. Grilled salmon served on a bed of chopped romaine and iceberg with tomato, cucumbers, black olives, red onions, and capers.

Two of us got the sirloin and was very good. The wife got the fried fish and clams plate that came with fries and onion rings. Also very good. I got the braised short rib special and it was delicious. All portions were generous. My only issue is the tables are a little too close together. Other than that we will be back.

Great food, my girlfriend and I got the seared (optional) prime rib, french onion soup, clam chowder soup, buffalo chicken wings, and fish & chips. All were amazing. Fish was fresh and moist even after being fried. The french onion had some great consistency and cheese. Clam chowder had plenty of meat in it. Prime Rib I had to take a few bites before I took to-go, but excellent fresh. Buffalo wings are good as well.

The food we had was definitely sub-par. It was mostly cold. My sweet potato fries were undercooked and cold. The butternut squash had an overwhelming amount of nutmeg and some other spice in it. The stuffed shrimp was more bread crumbs than anything. My husband’s fish in the fish and chips was overcooked and cold as were his onion rings. The French onion soup was good
though. Lastly, we went early at 5PM. I
was shocked when we left at how tightly packed they had people in the dining area we were in. It was way too close quarters with no air flow.

Have been coming to this place for the past 5 or 6 years, maybe more, and was disappointed a bit this time. We had their baked stuffed scrod special, a fish and chips and a chicken Alfredo with broccoli. The fish and chips and Alfredo was pretty standard and fine but the two scrod dishes were over cooked and dry. It’s a shame as the fish was fresh and the portion healthy.
Not sure if they have a new cook or what is going on as my son went with a friend a week ago and said the food was in his words “sucked”. We should have listened to him.
