United Property Associates (UPA) was founded in 1978 in response to the need for quality property management in Hampton Roads for apartment communities, homeowner and condominium associations, and single family homes. As UPA evolved and grew organically, staff members focused on employing and training personnel dedicated to strong and consistent property management, rather than real estate sales.
The company's goal is not only to maintain client properties with the necessary expenditure of funds but, in time, improve them. Bernie's interests include hiking, wilderness horseback riding and mountain biking in Colorado each summer as well as travelling throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean. He is still adding to his "bucket list." Bernie is an avid reader of fiction on vacations, but sticks to business publications at home.
