PMI Virginia is a Hampton Roads-based property management company owned and operated by Troy and Patti Robertson. We have been involved in real-estate since 1993 with our first rental house. In 2010, Patti has become a broker, focusing on managing our own and other owners' investment property. We do all of our real estate investing in Hampton Roads, and are happy to share our experience with our fellow landlords and clients.
Most real estate companies do property management part-time and will take on your rental listing only because they hope to one day sell it. At PMI Virginia, we don't do property management part-time. We focus 100% of our energy on working with our landlords to maximize their rental income and grow their portfolios.

Very discriminating experience with speaking with them. Was given a voucher and had things that I wasn't aware of on my record and some things I did know but were old and taken care of and was told I was a flat out liar and denied my application due to me not knowing also was left feeling like there was no hope and nothing I could do to fix the matter it was a horrible experience to be judged and profiled off your past. I am a mother of 5 and was denied housing due to me having paid judgements that could be proven with receipts and having a garnishment that was closed 2 years ago that i didnt even

PMI Virginia is a property management leader in Hampton Roads. The team is actively involved in several professional organizations in the area, encouraging best practices, and highlighting new law changes for landlords and tenants to regard. I appreciate the effort put forth in cooperation with local city officials, as well as state lawmakers. I've leased with PMI and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I could give examples from my own interactions but just reading through their responses to negative reviews on google let's their character shine through perfectly.
They are completely unprofessional and have have the pettiness of a bad 90's movie villian. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so frustrating to deal with. If you're considering signing a lease with them, reconsider.

Great property management company for investors who want to let the pros take care of the day to day issues of property management. Quick to get qualified tenants and can handle Sec. 8 effortlessly. My man Troy is fantastic getting repairs done quickly and at a reasonable price.

I would never recommend PMI Virginia to anyone, they definitely deserve zero stars. As soon as we moved into the house we are currently renting in January the furnace was already not working so the house would get below 55 degrees and there was nothing we could do (the emergency heat wouldn’t even turn on as that is what they had recommended us trying). They had sent two people out to get it “fixed” the second time was after 8pm and both people were drunk and only spoke Spanish, thankfully my husband is Hispanic so he was able to talk to them about what the problem was.
