I know how you feel, because I've been there. I know what your body and mind go through after a heavy squat day, a marathon, a half ironman, or a heavy conditioning day. And I know that your training is important to your physical health and mental well-being. I also understand that mobility, stretching, and active recovery days are critical aspects of sustaining that training.
Got wrist pain? The wrist joint, critical for training and daily life is often overlooked, over worked and weak. Texting, typing and training without stretching can lead to pain, chronic injuries. The hips generate power unmatched by the rest of the body. Through the hip joint, we transfer power from the feet to the core and into the upper extremities.
Stephanie's yoga class was amazing! As an instructor, she had a lightness about her that made you feel comfortable, but the class was challenging enough to substitute my normal gym workout. I especially appreciated that throughout class, she offered modifications to make certain poses easier or more challenging.

Stephanie is awesome- go take one of her classes and see for yourself!
I have been going to Stephanie's classes for the past year. I met her at Yoga Flow on Union and now go to her classes at Yoga Flow on Ocean. I highly recommend her to anyone because she is mindful of all levels attending her class. She does however, specialize on utilizing her classes as a place for athletes who are highly involved in other sports to come and recover, or use Yoga to supplement other activities. Being a runner, cross-fitter, and gymnast herself, she really understands what you're going through.

First, a little bit about me, I'm in my 50s, with a background that includes Ironman, numerous triathlons, marathons, and century rides, Marine Corps, and competitive fencing and karate. Currently, I've been doing Crossfit.
Note the one thing that's not in that list - yoga. I tend to hate stretching-type things. I actually tried to get myself to "go to yoga" by doing a work-trade at a local yoga for all the yoga I wanted, for free. I never went. Boo, me. Swab them floors then...didn't go.
I have attended Stephanie's WOD Recovery Yoga. It is neither "yin
