You work hard and play hard. Maybe you've given your blood, sweat, and tears to build a business that's finally providing some financial security. You love your family and care about what will happen to them when you're not around. You're willing to take responsibility for what will happen to you, your family, your business, and your prized possessions when you die or become incapacitated.
You know that a legacy is about more than just leaving "stuff" to people.it's about passing on your story and your values. For most people, thinking about death, taxes, disability, and incapacity is about as enjoyable as getting a colonoscopy. Sometimes, working with lawyers isn't much fun either. They might use legal words you don't understand, or perhaps the meetings feel rushed and impersonal.

But if you're looking for stuffy lawyers in suits, you may want to look elsewhere. We weren't "born" lawyers - going directly from high school to college to law school. We went to college after working in other fields for years, and then eventually we went to law school. We didn't have anything handed to us - we know what it's like to work hard to achieve your dreams.
Yes, my professional background and qualifications are important, but not because they'll dazzle you or other lawyers. They're important because they're what allows me to help you. So I'll get to them in a bit. By now, you've probably realized that I'm a bit more informal and unconventional than most lawyers.
I was born and raised in the Seattle area, where I gained a great appreciation for the outdoors. When I was 13, my family moved to Mt. Prospect, Illinois, and shortly thereafter to Sulphur Springs, Texas. We were married in Waukegan, Illinois while I was learning my new rate (job), Fire Control - which means "firing" and "controlling" the ship's weapons systems.
Estate planning is more than just filling out legal documents on Legal Zoom, bringing them to AAA or your bank for notarization, and sticking them in a safe deposit box. The documents are important, but they're just one piece of the puzzle. In addition to legal documents, you need a financial plan that works with your estate plan.
Bad things like divorce, disability, lawsuits, arrests, and ugly break-ups happen to good people all the time. Proper planning may reduce or eliminate some of the stress associated with life's messes. Planning techniques may include the use of prenuptial, postnuptial, and cohabitation agreements, pet trusts and "pet nups, " firearm trusts, or limited liability companies (LLCs).

My wife and I wanted legal help to prepare our wills. I did not want to make a big deal out of it and thought it would be a simple matter of writing a few things in a legal format and filing it away. Let's face it, nobody is in a hurry to think about their own demise, but there comes a time to get serious so I did some online research and decided to try Manasota Elder Law. Cindy immediately responded to an email inquiry and after a long, detailed conversation, I became convinced that simply writing a will would be grossly insufficient, and create as many problems as it would solve. I thoroughly

My estate planning documents were prepared 15 years ago, before I became a Florida resident. I wanted them updated to include a provision for my pets as well as adding trust company to act as co-trustee.. Cindy updated my plans and referred me to a Florida based trust company. Start to finish took less than 30 days.

We initially attended a free seminar at the Law office to see what the firm was about, and to get a feel for the lawyer that would be working for us if we chose this firm. The seminar was put on by Cindy and her staff and was well organized and informative. It was a good indicator to us that they knew their stuff. We went ahead with the process of re-doing an old trust from NY to Florida. We would recommend Manasota Elder Law, Cindy, Tim and the staff if you are looking for good, sound Professional advice and not a cheap internet fix that will cause you issues down the road.

Cindy Clark”, was the immediate response when my longtime Estate Planners were asked: “Who might I contact for help with a complex trust issue?” (The task was in Florida and well beyond their jurisdiction.) I was traveling at the time and had no way to spend hours sitting in another lawyer’s office.
“Trust Cindy,” they continued, “A lot can be done by Email.”
I found Cindy to be friendly, professional, concise, and amazing. She provided choices and clear steps to actions...both mine and hers.
She analyzed the problem upfront and calculated a fair one-time price. The timely
